  1. Use a 1/2in drive ratchet and pipe, make sure the pipe is at least 2.5ft long. Then lay it against the right side, usually against the battery(EA82). Remove the coil wire and give the ignition a quick bump. This will break the nut loose.
  2. You have the worst case scenario for a blown HG. I would have the heads decked a little too, I would bet they are a tad warped.
  3. The year turbo engine you have is the first model imported to the US. And probably the most difficult one to work on for a first time Subaru owner. There are several here that have owned this model/engine and some have extra parts or complete engines. One of the biggest issues is back in 84 the Dealers did a recall to upgrade the turbo to add watercooling. Look at the thermostat housing to see if there is a water line on the bottom right front that goes back to the turbo. This will tell you if its been upgraded or not. If not, its not that hard to upgrade the entire turbo system to a watercooled system. Also, the tranny they used (3AT) are known for being gutless and unreliable. Theres a upgrade for this also, but a little more involved. Use the search function here for 5spd swap. Welcome to the USC and the Board, hope you enjoy your Brat.
  4. And thats just one bay:eek: Nice tool collection:headbang:
  5. Easier to go with a divorced t-case:brow:
  6. Might need one for Monstaru. He has to go over a major pass in a snowstorm. Maybe a locater beacon would be in order:brow:
  7. Turbone

    6" lift

Mine started out with 6in, then another 2in was added. You'll have to come see it someday:brow:
  8. Looks like it could be there as soon as Sunday night. Stay tuned:headbang:
  9. Fram sucks big time. Almost all the cars I see in the PAP here that died from a engine problems have a Fram filter on them. I have see the cut aways on the filters and they are built very cheaply, even the double guard. For $6 you can get a Purolator.
  10. The only thing I can see wrong here is that you put the drum brakes back on:confused: Other than that, you should have a trouble free ride for lots of miles/years to come.
  11. Yeah, once I got down to Burnett for gas I just decided to head home. Hopefully next time I'll leave the house with the right keys:rolleyes: Now I need to get a new gas cap:-p
  12. Looks more like a new Carnival Ride to me:grin: Something like that might be a kick out on the Sand Dunes:brow:
  13. This was a 3 day weekend for most folks. And your excuse was........?:-p
  14. Well, right now it looks like I'm going. But I wont be there at 9am, more like 10 or 11am.
  15. Hmmmm........I have a sawsall and a XT parts car:brow: I might be able to send that with the carpet;)
  16. You answered your own question here. As for a hole being at the bottom corner of the WS opening, I believe ther is, dont ask me why tho but I think its supposed to drain outside of the cabin.
