    Hatch Patrol?

I didnt get my HP sitcker until after I had my Hatch and made a trail run with the group. Those are the rules and always will be. Dirt/logging roads dont count:-p I put more dents in my truck than I have put in both my Hatches:cool:

    Hatch Patrol?

You bet its still around! Theres still several members here that havent jumped ship. Mike W (better not part out your Hatch) SubaruTex Austin Jared (Rooinator) I know I'm forgeting some, but they are out there. Zap wants to get another HP campout going this summer, we'll see how many show up.
  3. I bought 2 strut caps for my Brat back in Nov of last year, got them from the Dealer. They are not cheap, I think they were over $40ea.
  4. Here you go, take your pick:-p http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Browse/tf-Browse/s-10101/N-111+10202+600006309/c-10102 Heres the Ebay store I got the pod and gauges from. http://stores.ebay.com/GLOWSHIFT-GAUGES
  5. Yeah, its a PITA. Never replaced one with engine in the car. I think dropping the x-member would be harder than lifting the engine.
  6. Almost all Subaru oil pressure gauges read zero at idle. The o-ring kit from the dealer is fairly cheap. Of course, you can read more about it here....... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=71629
  7. Anything external will have wiring exposed and if you hack up your dash, well its that way forever. Alot of the gauges are 2" and should fit in the area of the originals. I have a hole saw thats 2" and a old gauge cluster. I think some expermintation is in order.
  8. I was looking at the original gauges wondering how to block them off. But now that you bring up the A/F gauge, which was my next procurement, that sounds like a idea. I have a panel I could experiment with.
  9. I got the gauges and a-pillar pod on Ebay back around X-Mas time. Boost gauge, temp gauge and oil pressure gauge. I finally got around to installing them. I need to line them up a little better and install the correct sender for the water temp, but in all....I like! The gauges have 7 different colors to choose from:-p And when the car is off, the gauges are dark. Not the best pics, I was in a hurry:rolleyes:
  10. I was there with 2 cars:headbang: CF, you have never made it a event you said you were going to:rolleyes:
  11. Depends on the lift. I have 15" Chevy rims and only rub when I have people in the back. But the Yota wheels would be better, only because the valve stems are inside of the spokes which protects them from obstacles.
  12. Need to be more specific. Does the light go off when the doors are locked? The light stays on until they are locked. I know, it sounds lame but like I said, you werent specific.
  13. What are her thoughts about the PNW:brow:
  14. For the 5 lug swap you need for the front; The lower control arms and hubs/rotors/struts. For the rear just grab the complete trailing arm/hub/rotor because you will want to add the sway bar. The seats will need to have the brackets modified to fit. And I think thats it.
  15. I was out today at Evans Crk and it didnt take me long to break a rear axle cup. It might have been weakened from the previous trip out, but it still broke on the trail. 3WD cannot get me up 311 unfortunatly. And as for driving around on pavement with a welded rear diff? I dont advise it. I also toasted my tranny today, could be due to the fact I drive the rig to all the trails I off road on. I've put a few thousand miles on it with the welded diff and it finally killed the tranny.
  16. Headlight shouldnt affect the CD deck. But I would be putting a inline fuse to the deck. Might want to check all the wiring on that to see if its wired correctly. Power should be to the ignition and the yellow (most times) is constant power.
  17. I'm not 100% but I dont think any of the 80's 5spd's have a clutch ignition lock out. Sounds like the clutch is gone. If your able to pull the engine the replacement is easy. Others will say to pull the tranny, I prefer to pull the engine. It doesnt require any work heavy work under the car.
  18. I would chuck it. Aluminum contracts and expands with heat. That crack could get bigger. EA81 blocks are plentiful here in the PNW.
  19. Can you shift with the engine off? Does the clutch slip? Grinding? Could be that the clutch is toast. Or a worst case scenario.....the tranny is
  20. Theres a little more glass on his wagon than your SVX. I think thats a good price too.
  21. Looks just like mine. Tell you what tho, its a real PITA to take off all the time to get under the hood.
