Nothing's ever simple... (EA81T Quest For Glory!)
Turbone replied to baccaruda's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yeah, its just been a pipe dream of mine for years. Now that its been done in a Brat, wouldnt it be cool to drop a WRX into a Coupe? -

I'm not 100% sure, but you know, if your installing a WRX DP, a TD04 would have bolted right up to it. And with a little finnes'n, the x-over pipe would have bolted up also:grin: Or, I could be totaly out of my gourd, as I spent the weekend installing new carpet and stereo system in the RX:-p I shall be totally deaf in a couple of weeks:rolleyes: -

I'm making this link to the misc sale forum because not everyone looks there frequently. I have a item that needs to go this weekend and it for locals only. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=603684#post603684 This can be removed on Sunday afternoon, or I'll remove if the item is picked up.

Help! Need pwr doorlock/window switch assy!
Turbone replied to SmashedGlass's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Unfortunatly, thats a model specific item. It has to come from a 3dr. I dont have a spare, even for my RX:-\ -
Some of them have never been removed and are rusted on. Usually some PB Blaster or other solvent will loosen it up, but it will take a day (or more) of soaking.

It may not fit. Even with the clutch fan removed there might not be enough room between the waterpump and rad to fit the fan. Thats why you need the accessory fan, its alot thinner. If you have the short shaft waterpump there might be enough clearence, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

If I knew the year/model of your car, I might have it. -
I've been trying to find out the production # for the black 89.5 RX's since I've had mine. Thats about 4yrs now:rolleyes: Apperently, 50,645 Subaru's were produced in 1989. Dont have the breakdown tho. Found that info here....http://www.cars101.com/oldsubaru.html

Just because your newest car has been running for 3mo without breaking down doesnt mean you get to pick on others that are having problems. Cause you know it might come back to bite you:rolleyes: -
Theres no fan at all on your rad now? All EA's had a stock electric fan on the passenger side. There were some EA81 models and a very few EA82's that had a secondary accesory fan instead of a clutch fan. Someone might have one or you might find one in a wrecking yard.

I've researched but couldnt find anything. Maybe someone from SOA would know, or Corky.
