Next RallyCross on July 18th, Kent, WA
If I dont have the RX running by then, I might just get tabs for the Turbo Coupe. And scare the heck out of all of ya Only a few remember my run at WCSS3 at Thurston ORV park. Unfortunatly I was only able to make a fun run on Sunday, but it beat alot of times for the weekend. Not the same car, but the same model. I'm really jonesing for a run. Dont worry Meat Wagon, I'll treat it nice Besides, I want to see if I can beat that Justy.

this may sound weird

Thinkin the worst right now!
I dont think its a problem. I think its just left over coolant from the previous problems and that it was contained in the exhaust system. Once you run it for a while it will eventually blow it out and dry it up.

CV boot
Not normally. I've seen alot of boots like this, and have gone down the road for a long time. But I would imagine that after a prolonged amount of time that eventually the axle will put a hole in the boot from friction/movement. Do you know how old the boot is? This might dictate on how long it will last. it might be in this condition due to the fact of its age.

You can get stock mufflers cheap, all day long on ebay. I want a pair of Screaming Eagle II's These usually go for close to $100 easy on ebay. And they have to be black.

I NEED HARLEY PARTS! Cheap of course Seriously, the stock pipes from a Harley suck, for a bike. I'm not sure how they would sound on a Soob, I kind of like the racket a open system makes. If any of you guys at a dealership have a old pair of SE2's laying around for a FXDX, let me know

I *HATE* T-belt covers...
In the short expeirence I've had with EA82's, the T-belts have been a hassle. But I wouldnt run without them, they are there for a purpose. There has to be a way to do away with the nuts and bolts, these are the culprits. If we could find some clips that would go from one side to the other, these would be the ticket. Easy to remove and replace, quick and simple. If anyone has a source for something like this, speak up!

Thinkin the worst right now!
And dont forget you coated all the internals with oil also. It might still be burning that off too. Let it run for a while

Cast your votes
Eh, c'mon. This is a no-brainer

Thinkin the worst right now!
I would take Qmans advice. Let it run for a while, you may just have some old coolant in the exhaust still. Did you look at the heads when you had them off? Particularly between the valves for cracks?

What should I do?
I vote for a EA82T GL-10 Turbo Wagon I'm biased

To goop, or not to goop
Permatex copper is what I used on my EA81T. Looks like I'm going to use it again. Thanks for the input everyone, pro and con.

To goop, or not to goop
I'm putting new head gaskets on a EA82T. Whats the general concensus on using a gasket sealer when doing this? I used the spray on copper stuff for a EA81T before, and didnt have any problems. So has anyone else used it?

Tranny problems?
Thats what I assumed you used. Just was wondering if there was enough room. Good to know it can be done.

Tranny problems?
How did you line up the clutch/PP with the pilot bearing?

There is only one fuel filter, its behind the drivers side strut top. Try releasing the gas cap. Really. See if it runs for more than 30sec. If the pump is cycling and you have pressure past the filter, something else is going on. The blinks come in 2 different lengths, short and long. You may want to recheck this.

Please Help
I would check the compression and stuff before tearing out and swapping the tranny. But any excuse is a good one to do it.
