if i remember corrsctly that means your timing is 180 degrees out of phase aka rotate thre distributer 1/2 turns

look for a company called ccr they do new engines for subaru's http://www.ccrengines.com/ however this is in the wrong place legacy is new gen worthy of mention is that the legacy engine is impossable to kill keep oil in it and it will go 300k exageration but my point is why do you wnat to replace the whole engine?
