  1. I just put a new clutch cable on my 88 GL wagon 2WD.I was wondering if anyone knows how to properly adjust it?It is shifting smoothly but I am curious if there is a proper amount of pedal height to have.Thanks,Dave.
  2. I have the same problem in my 88 GL wagon.I am getting a new headlight assembly from Calebz because the on I have has a lot of water in it,and bulb life is about two days.Dave.
  3. I just got an 88 GL wagon,5 spd,2WD,tbi EA82.On my way to work there is an off ramp loop which I like to accelerate up as fast as my car will handle.Well the first time I took the wagon up it I noticed when I got the car off of the loop and on the straight stretch it would put out a Spy Hunter sized cloud of smoke. This is the only time I have noticed any smoke whatsoever from the car.Any one have any ideas of what this could be?I cant believe this is normal.I took my Brat on this same loop for almost two years everyday pushing it hard and never had a whiff of smoke.I know there are alot of differences between an EA81T and an EA82 but it just doesn't seem right.I have taken the loop at normal not pushing it speeds and get a tiny little puff.Any help would make me eternally gratefull.Thanks,Dave.
  4. I would take a set of 14" in any style alloy or steel. If you have them I would drive down and get them in August.Sounds like a really good reason for a road trip.
  5. Hey Zerodark:30 if you are going to Sioux Falls you should look up Chef Tim,he and Vickaroo live there, and if you are passing through Rapid City you can give me a holler. It's always nice to get together with other board members.Dave
  6. Thanks GD.I didn't even look to see if it was leaking,I thought I would get some answers.20-50 it is.Dave.
  7. I just got an 88 wagon 2wd 5 speed from Chef Tim and I really love this thing.I was at work tonight delivering pizza and I noticed at idle my oil pressure is at almost zero.I am going to change my oil tomorrow to see if this helps at all,but I was wondering if an oil pump in need of a reseal could cause this condition.Oh yeah at 2000 rpm and higher the gauge reads 45 psi. Thanks Dave.
  8. My Turbo never got better than 22,but I think the auto trans and the lead foot played a part in that.
  9. Hey Mick,I would like 2 of the USMB stickers and one of the windshield strips with the old logo on the ends. When is the payment deadline?
  10. I got my Turbo Brat to just over 85mph on the way to the midwest meet 2.That was on a nice straight flat stretch of highway foot to the floor.I'm not sure how accurate the speedo is because I was running 185-80-13.I think that is a 10% difference, and if that is correct it would have been about 93 mph.
  11. Thanks Mils,GD.They do look like ATV shocks so maybe tomorrow we can get them of and see if they will move.Dave
  12. Hey Vickaroo I got my Vicky set up so she can check out the widow board but she isn't home from work yet.
  13. Does any one know if there is an east way to distinguish between adjustable and non adjustable? I am helping Hende work on his car (wow 2 sube guys in Rapid City who don't know what they are looking for) or at least trying to but I just got my first EA82 car yesterday and am not fimiliar with them.
  14. Well me and the wife left Rapid City at 2:30 AM on Saturday to go to Sioux Falls to see Chef Tim and Vickaroo and also to get me a new Sube. My wife got off of work at 1:15 AM and came home and woke me up to get ready to leave. She slept till we hit Chaimberlen which is about 200 miles from home.Everything was pretty clear after Chaimberlen but about 75 miles outside of Soiux Falls we hit some pretty heavy fog which reduced our speed to about 50 MPH.We got to Tim and Vickys and I got see my new to me Sube.It is an 88 GL Wagon 2wd.It has the typical rust for this part of the country but the interior is pretty darn nice.It is a 5 speed with pw,pl,pm,and incredibly cold ac. Tim and Vicky took us all around town that day.We saw the falls and drove through the historic district and we went to a mall for the ladys. My wife(Vicky) was the only one of the bunch not wearing a USMB shirt but she really didn't seem to mind to much. After the mall we went back to Tim and Vickys house where they BBQed some chicken and we had lunch and left for home.I got 30 mpg doing 75mph the whole way home.It was a real win win situation,I got another Sube and Tim and Vicky (especially Vicky) got another car out of there driveway. We had a really great time thank you Tim and Vicky and I really like my new Sube.If only SD wasn't so incredibly boring to drive across,oh well.Dave
  15. Thanks.I was asking a question.Sorry about any confusion it may have caused.
  16. Sorry to hijack but,GD when you drill the Chevy 6 hole rims do you just use a Sube wheel to make a template, line up two holes on the 6 hole with the template and drill.Dave.
  17. Is there alot of difference in the amount of tread on the tires? If the 15s are almost bald and the 13s have alot of tread left on them that could make a difference.Just a thought.Dave.
  18. I'm putting in a request for a ride.Looks awesome!
  19. Oops, I mean better. Is there any chance of getting a few more interior shots.Thanks,Dave.
  20. Looks great, thanks alot! It's beeter than you described it.
  21. I will be up in july to get get one of them out of your driveway.Your neighbor must be overjoyed to see another Sube in your driveway.
  22. I just got my EJ22 from Imdew. The deal was the engine which has a bad head gasket for $100.00.I got the engine plus a wiring harness plus the computer. He didn't ask for any money for it.He just said "you said you needed one".I have never had a bad deal from anyone on the board. We rule.Dave
