How about the Demming log show site?

I know its still early but where and when is the next WCSS8 ?

Lets just hope there is a WCSS8. I could understand why the previous years event organizers would choose not to organize another one.

Would be a shame however, seeing as how each years has been getting more and more popular within the last few years.

*edit* helps if I read what you wrote correctly. Durrrrrrr....

Actually I think Sean at RalliTek is the one who is behind organizing the WCSS 8.

Is Michigan now on the West Coast? Heck, let's make it Alaska - then it would be a long drive for everyone (well, almost everyone).

Could we have it in Michigan? its a long trip for me. :drunk:

nah! i just think you need to move back here to washington

Isn't Rallitek based out of Portland? I wouldnt mind a Portland WCSS, as long as its not in a parking lot. Its hard to sleep in a tent on asphalt.

It is still really early tho. Shouldnt we wait till after the new year to start planning the next show?

Portland would be cool..ya, not on the pavement, we need to have a big mud pit :) and some trails :) but it is a *little bit early

I'll keep my tradition of every 3rd show. Mostly cause of the fact that I'll be sittin somewhere in Afganistan next summer. Where ever you have it this upcoming year, you should have it in Oregon the following one.

I would be down for Oregon and I have some ideas that I am throwing around for a venue. :brow:

CMiller thanks for bringing my attention to this thread! Allied Armament is located on an 800 acre ranch (chris can tell you about it). Anyways, we do events here all of the time and actually have a bed and breakfast, outdoor parking, an outside party barn, offroading areas etc.. We are located just 20 minutes outside of downtown Portland OR. If you'd like to mapquest it or look at it with a satellite here is the address;

55948 Columbia River Hwy

Scappoose OR. 97056

Or you can look up the Malarkey Ranch Inn B&B,

I have spoke to the Oregon Ralley Group and this would be an event that they may want to endorse. Can anyone say Jymkobah (sp) one of those offroad subaru races on a small course!

Here is a picture of about 125 of the 800 acres The building with the green rough in front of the Barn is where are shop is located.

If there is enough interest we can have the event here.

There you have it.

Anything from mud bogs to forest trails and plenty of field space for tents.

Big barn for rain out meeting area/vendor booths. 800 acres is plenty of land to host WCSS8 :headbang: A good central location for Seatle to Grants Pass participants!

If some one could pass the idea on to the Rallitek guys that would be great.

Damn that looks pretty sweet. I'm suprised you don't allready have an offroad park on your property. A few mud pits, some rocks and logs, and of course a few hill climbs.

There is all of that there. I got a "tour" from James in his wagon. The terrain is awesome for mud and trails. It is located along the Willamette River so it can get good and muddy. plenty of spots to break things and getting stuck:brow:

This looks like it would be a great place to have some of the ORG rallycrosses at too. (Sorry to hi-jack the thread).

No Ed, you are right on. At the October ORG meeting that was one of the topics of discussion to have a few events on the property. It has great fields for rallycross.

Anyway there is plenty of potential for WCSS8 to be held there.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments on this topic of WCSS8 locations please feel free to share them since we have awhile before the next show.

It would be great to get feedback for what people would like to see happening so we can prepare now instead of later. If we get the stars aligned we may be able to through one hell of a show!!!

If you're seriously thinking about setting this up, you have to think about parking, lodging, food, entertainment, and everything else. Just step up and do it, people will show up. Take a look through everyone's wcss6 and wcss7 pics and go from there.

I agree with Jibs, its totally doable. James what do you think? Move with it?
