May 8, 200619 yr Just picked this up today, a 1981 subaru gl 4wd wagon. $350.00, 95k original miles. Never seen an interior in a subaru this old be so clean in my life. And the exterior definatly isn't bad either. Has one minor rust spot that needs to be tended to soon. And the engine has some bad problem... We think it threw a rod. Anyway here are some pics...

May 8, 200619 yr I had a white 81 with the third eye. It had some rust and ran on three cylinders, but I LOVED that car. It is still my favorite car I ever owned.
May 8, 200619 yr nice find! i saw a yellow 81 wagon in my small canadian island town several days back. the thing looked real rusty though. i waved, might have scared the owner but i guess that's life.
May 8, 200619 yr Author Yep its the one from craigslist... I'm transfering all the good parts from my pickle over to the new one. And then we are going to drive it as a ea81 engine car for a little while. And gather parts for an ej22E swap.
