December 11, 200718 yr Hi all.. I'm Rene , 35 years young married with Tina and i live in the Netherlands. I've got infected with 'subarites' in 1996..i bought in that year a leone wagen from 1984. Now i still drive a subaru leone , a sedan from 1990 with ea82 engine. Full options except 4wd and airco

May 22, 200817 yr Author Hi all... Some update on my subaru... Since 2 weeks : golden wheels , original subaru.. they came from a '83 leone Color was white , i painted it gold.. Looks very good with the car!! Also a XT final exhaustpipe
May 23, 200817 yr welcome! yes, those wheels are much nicer than the covers that were on there before... nice to see those non-US options as well... neat headlight squirters... and in-bumper rear license plate light... cool air dam on the front.... --Spiffy
May 23, 200817 yr Looks very much like mine other than the trim line and non US options. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q200/SMASHmySOOByDONTya/Subarus/DSC_0154.jpg The wheels look really good! Never really thought gold would go that nicely with red but it does.
May 23, 200817 yr Wheels look nice, but were not designed to fit your car. You might have a problem with the front brake caliper hitting the wheel, if you have vented rotors.
May 23, 200817 yr Real nice looking 'Ru. The Gold rims makes a big difference. quote The wheels look really good! Never really thought gold would go that nicely with red but it does quote The USMC seem to think Crimson (red) and Gold works well together.
May 23, 200817 yr Author Wheels look nice, but were not designed to fit your car. You might have a problem with the front brake caliper hitting the wheel, if you have vented rotors. They fit perfect , no problem at all with the frontbrakes. These wheels coming from the previous model leone ( in the us loyale ). In Europe these wheels where an option on the 4wd models at the early 80's

In Europe these wheels where an option on the 4wd models at the early 80's Its hard for me to tell because of the lighting and angles and the differences are subtle. The 80 to 84 wagon wheel types would not work on Subaru's from 85 up. Thats the way it is here in the US.

Thats the way it is here in the US. Could be possible....i do not have the knowlegde about this... By the way , i have made also an audio recording from the exhaustpipe http://pa2ru.qsl.nu/soeb.wma Have fun :-p

Thats the way it is here in the US. Yeah if you have worn brake pads then the wheels will fit fine but if you have new-ish pads than the calipers will hit on the spokes of the wheel
November 13, 200817 yr about the wheel clearance, you can grind off the edge of the calipers to correct that, or use ea82 spoke wheels. 85 and 86 ea82 calipers clar a lot better. i like the gold wheels. it remids me of this: that is a firebird wing on the back
November 14, 200817 yr welcome, nice rides. makes me jelous with my lil rust bucket I have goals for my FrankenSoob (legacy).
November 19, 200817 yr Welcome...I see you joined way back in the day...that is excellent. Have fun! Enjoy your stay! It will likely be a long one!

March 23, 200917 yr Nice Ru, i like the gold wheels as well. As you can see from my pic here, I also enjoy adding colors to my Subie. Tell me Rene, is that a hitch? Do you have enough power to tow? Thanks... meet Cool Runnings
March 25, 200917 yr Author Hitch?? My car is 90 bhp on the frontwheels with a manual 5 speed gearbox..
June 17, 200916 yr Author Hi all... Some update's from Holland.. After a inspection of the car , we discoverd some huge problem at the bottom : It was possible to fixed it , but it costs about 400 euro's so i decided to say goodbey to the good old sooby. I bought it in august 2006 for 250 euro's , and had it for 2,5 years with lots of fun and memory's Usualy i drive 'low budget cars' , never spended more money then maximal +/- 500 euro's to buy a car and ride it for 2 or 3 years. I agreed with my wive to spend a lot more cash for a car , so since may 15 we drive this one : Say hello to the next sooby ( my fifth subaru ) an impreza plus 1,6gl fwd This car is from oktober 1994 The wheels , missing 4 covers... Those wheels coming from a legacy 2,2 gx.. Edited June 17, 200916 yr by Rene
June 17, 200916 yr Author did you check under the white one in the same spots for rust this time around? Yes , it passed ok to the yearly inspection... There is no rustdamage at all on this car , like a new one
