It should have a fair amount less weight though! Less metal and less glass on the exterior. In the interior, there are no rear seats, no rear seatbelts, shorter headliner, etc. The rear doors would be gutted (hinges, latches, handles, paneling, window mechanisms, etc), and the rear driveshaft and exhaust would both be shortened. Whats funny is that (I think, if I remember correctly) the second row doors still open and function, they just have fixed windows. The winch is something that I would deffinately try and do. If anything, I suppose you could lengthen the front doors... but I would definitely take out the rears if I was building it for myself. For the winch, I bet you could just give the rollers and internal bumper support a quick spray of black paint, and cut the hole a touch lower to keep the chrome strip across the top of the bumper, and you'd probably never see the winch even without a cover. :cool: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

1982gl4 Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 I think it's just the pic, He auto-x's it and uses it on track day. Has a full stand alone engine management, it's very nicely done. As far as I know it has the stock rear suspension, the front has been modified with coilovers, and the rear is to come, but he hasn't gotten around to fitting them yet. Its got a rear wheel drive setup with a LSD rear and a HiPo EA81 that screams. Very cool car! For the "new" version of that car check the classifieds for my coupe.
