  1. Guys, I am glad you really like them. I had a bad dream about last week that I screwed up my wheels. In the dream I had forgot to primer them. I had spent about two months trying to find a set of 98 2.5RS 5 spoke goldies but everyone wanted a lot for them or they were on the other side of the country. So I just did the next best thing with my free WRX wheels and just had tires put on. The tires in the picture have 0 miles on them. I just got to put them on.
  2. Those are my favorite old gen wheels and those look great with that red painted caliper. I had white ones on my BRAT and took my buddy's steam buggy cleaner and used it on them. It did wonders for the wheels and really brought out the white coat.
  3. Thanks man. I had about 8-10 hours of total prep time before doing any primer. I am very happy I did not paint before getting new tires put on. When I got my sanded wheels back there was grease and a couple scuffs on some and I had to reclean them. I can't wait to get some pictures of them installed.
  4. Right after sanding with red scuff pad. 2 Coats of Primer Grimmspeed gold paint, supposedly matches BBS gold. Arsenal The gold was after 1 coat, I did three coats last night and am letting them bake in my hot shed till either Saturday or Sunday depending on how I feel. These are going on my '00 Blue Ridge Pearl 2.5RS coupe.
  5. I'll give you $300 to bring it to Tennessee. Side note: Why is a lot of EA81 shifter knobs I see on backwards?
  6. http://www.rallytennessee.com I am going to try and be there on Sunday. I'll be in my RS coupe, probably in a USMB shirt.
  7. Get some detailed pictures of your carb setup and post them on here. Are you positive you have your carb, and vacuum lines correct?
  8. All I can say is wow. That thing was in great shape prior to the flood. Even if you can't get the interior recovered to where you would want it. You can always take another $100 or so and find some more interior pieces. Make sure and post some after pics as well.
  9. I had a similar problem in my BRAT. Replacing the windshield wiper motor fixed my problem.
  10. Thanks for the advice, here is the paint I ordered: http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=144
  11. Family Guy and Nasioc picture posting habits have ruined me.
  12. Looking good dude. Buddy of mine that runs an independent Subaru dealer recently had a woman pay her bill with a 91 Turbo Legacy. He had the motor out at the end of the day and put into his Impreza brighton coupe. Said he had been waiting on one of those motors ever since his EJ25 kicked the bucket. I can't wait to see some videos of it running. You going to upgrade turbos while your at it?
  13. I have a set of WRX wheels that have the stock RE92's that are about wore out on my 91 Legacy. After my failed attempt at finding some 98 5 spoke goldies, I have decided to paint my WRX wheels. I am ordering the gold spray paint from Grimmspeed because their gold supposedly matches BBS gold perfectly. First thing I am going to do is have me a new set of tires put on and have them move the wheel weight to the inside so I don't have to worry about painting over it again in the future. I still have the factory 6 spokes on it and just plan on hanging onto them. I got two big sheds so I already have a paint booth to utilize. I am needing to know what is the best method of sanding them down for me to primer them. Here is my photoshop concept picture:
