Hell yeah man. I hope to see that thing soon. Make sure and take some really good interior shots when you get it to a good spot. -

Dude that sucks that it is getting warm on you. I know you, you can have that issue fixed in no time. I hope they were friendly to you there. -

Text me tomorrow and tell me if you get it. -
Love to see some more pictures of that wagon. Welcome to the board.

Remember to make sure and burp the cooling system properly or you will wind up with an air bubble trapped in your cooling system. If you hear a gurgling sound, thats air trapped.

Brat -- Does a tall Gen 2 style topper exist??
Durania replied to AveryRadBrat's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Needs to fit 82-87 BRAT. If it is not flush with the cab, its a medium to high rise topper. -
I did the same thing with a laser temperature reader a few years ago.
-
You could just flush it out with a garden hose and add new coolant after flushing.

Go to the dealership and buy you an OEM thermostat and gasket. Don't fool with that parts store crap when it comes to thermostats.

I wanted one really bad for my BRAT when I had it. I had two lowrise gemtops for mine but they did just fine. -
Thanks Rob, I took the factory RS 6 spokes off and shoved them in my shed. Wasn't much of a fan of them painted gold so I left them alone. Connie, thank you very much. Granted the paint is a little expensive, it was all worth it in the end. I have gotten nothing but great reviews about the painting job and looks even better when the car is cleaned up and waxed. I made sure and drove by local storefronts this past weekend to get a view of them in motion.

Glad you asked. http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=144&osCsid=ul4cel4p6q5c2dhlq7jcnkuti5 I ordered three cans but only used a can and a half. The key is in the prep work with the sanding and primer. It was ok to leave tires on when painting just make sure and have the wheel weight relocated. I would not recommend painting then having tires put on. They will scuff the wheels up. Also, the primer I used was two coats of etching primer.

Proud new BRAT owner questions
Durania replied to Doug_ATX's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
BRATs look so good with tinted windows. Can't wait to see more. -
It SHOULD fit your car, it will have to be modified though. When I had mine put on, I had to have it lengthened so it would mate up with all the exhaust hangers and have the factory look. Of course I went with it cause it was given to me and I hated the aftermarket fart can exhaust that was on it when I bought the car.
