  1. EA81's do not have an overflow tank. They just overflow onto the ground. Make sure and catch all the coolant that drains out when you are taking this thing off. Don't want to be causing extra trouble for yourself. Also make sure and follow the correct burping procedures or you will get stuck with a big air pocket in your system. If you do use RTV make sure and let it cure for more than a hour before firing it up.
  2. Really good advice. Remember to get the surface where the old water pump was nice and clean. That old gasket material is hard to get off. I used black RTV for the gasket. 5 10mm bolts and your off, just be careful with them bolts.
  3. Wait till you rattle GeneralDisorder's cage. My point was to get the most relevant information to the original poster in the fewest posts as possible.
  4. ^ Useless post. Here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15309&highlight=speaker+size
  5. Correct, do NOT waste your time on aftermarket junk.
  6. Looking good. Make sure and get a video of it in action.
  7. Start searching for an XT6 for doing the five lug swap.
  8. Nice solar setup, Les Stroud would be proud.
  9. Cheers for not driving like a douche when given something like that. Most people would have been doing doughnuts in the Arby's parking lot on the way home.
  10. Take that Stant thermostat out and take it back. Order a new thermostat and a gasket from the Subaru dealer and start back over from square one.
  11. So did they come out and say they would sell you new wheels? You sure it just wasn't a sales pitch?
  12. I love the LSD with the question mark, could put that on my car.
  13. Swap in WRX engine and call it that. As good a motor the EA81 is, I would not waste that much time/money on it.
  14. Yeah my thought is the IAC as well. Not getting a check engine light what makes it weird. Would cleaning the IAC on my EJ25 be about the same as on my EJ22?
  15. This has been an issue ever since I bought my 2000 RS. When I first start the motor, I have to give it about 2 minutes of warm up time or when driving my RPM's will hang and fall slowly when I push the clutch in. Making shifting accurately a problem. After a few minutes the problem goes away and can shift like normal. Do I have a dirty IAC or PCV or something? My only remedy to this is letting it run before driving it every morning for several minutes.
  16. Buddy of mine has one in 02 WRX as well. He likes it but the only down side is that it scratches all of his cds after a period of time.
