  1. I had a hard time driving the car when I first got it. I have owned several manual transmission cars, drove countless WRX's and never had any trouble till I got this one. Will do some pedal looking this weekend if I get time.
  2. Well that does make things interesting. The clutch fluid is fine, I put a new slave cylinder on it in November. One of the techs at the dealership drove it and thought it was really weird too. I will give it some looking over this weekend when I get some time. I do have a squeak when I push in on my clutch. I greased the point at which the slave cylinder nipple pushes on the work but that didn't seem to help. Its hard to diagnose inside the vehicle but I think its down inside the tranny.
  3. Well the PVC brush guard is certainly better than nothing.
  4. Thanks for the advice Evo. My clutch is hydraulic so I'm not sure if I would have that spring or not. I really doubt it though. Its not biggie, its not slipping so I'm not complaining. Thanks again.
  5. First of all my clutch does not slip at all. It is difficult to describe really how it operates. When releasing it, it feels like it has two different release points. It feels like it releases slowly and I usually end up riding the clutch. Its more of a nuisance than anything. I let a good friend of mine drive it and he said it felt like the pressure plate was not active at all. When I bought the Impreza, the dealer told me they put a clutch in it. "If" that was true, I think it had an aftermarket/performance pressure plate and they used a Subaru clutch. Anyone else help me diagnose this? Its really weird.
  6. I wish I had those gold 5 spoke wheels for my RS. There is getting to be a lot more RS owners on here in the last few months. Remember the 98 motor is DOHC and is prone to internal head gasket leaks. Here is mine:
  7. I know the 2.5RS in 2000 got a MAP sensor, it has not been specified if its the L which will have the EJ22. Did the EJ22 change to MAP sensors as well?
  8. So whats the story on this thing? How you find one this low of mileage?
  9. I know the feeling dude. I had a 5zigen catback on my RS here that sounded like something off a honduh. Buddy of mine was cleaning out his garage and gave me a full STi catback. Installed for $40, looks great and very quiet. If this was on a WRX, I would be running 3 inch no cats.
  10. Boy is that a shame. Been a long time since I seen a perfect driver's seat in one of these. Ed, I'm sure you have kicked around the idea of eBay for this thing.
  11. Would rather see that WRB Forester do it.
  12. I thought the BRAT was bad news, that's why I posted it. I want to say those are version 7 STi wheels. Felt that the 22B was a must though.
  13. I had never seen one that color either, hmmm. '82 brochure shows the closest color as reef blue.
