  1. I found this picture on a Subaru only facebook group that I am a member of.
  2. I still don't know if I like the flat look of the Gem Top. I liked my other one with the fact that it was raised up in the back. This one however, does not leak. Here is the other one I have for comparison.
  3. I got up this morning and checked out our local classified ad web page. Very first thing I saw was this: http://www.golsn.com/listings/automotive/parts-accesories/347626.html Called the guy and headed on out, about a 40 mile drive. He had a sweet 50K Justy in his garage and a 86 push-button 4 door GL. Son had this a few years back but his Brat was totaled. Helped me load it on and even had the J-hooks. I now have two camper tops for my Brat. Oh yea, IT WAS FREE
  4. That deltic engine looks to be the illegitimate love child of a ninja star and a spirograph set. Not in a million years could I fathom someone coming up with an engine design such as that.
  5. You are correct good sir. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74588&highlight=ebay+headlights What is the protruding piece of plastic on your bumper in front of your headlights?
  6. This got me to thinking. Is it really opening while I am driving?
  7. Tom, the Brat came with the Weber on it when I bought it. I will check out the cable and see how things do. Thanks.
  8. Sometimes when I pump the gas to get the choke to set, it sometimes causes the secondary to open up and stick on my Brat causing it to rev really high. I in turn, have to get out and push it closed to knock the idle back down. What can I do to keep it from doing this, it has done it since day 1 but only sticks every so often. The spring was installed to cut down on this from happening.
  9. Looks like you have minimal shifter slop too. You have got quite the prize there Connie. If I didn't cut the wires off my analog EA81 cluster and hung it on my wall, you could have it.
  10. Thanks Brian. I try my hardest to help people with Subaru problems. After about the third reply and he mentioned checking the coil, I gave up. Figured he would spend his Saturday checking the entire electrical system of the EA82T and then would come back empty handed. I have seen cars start up fine and run one minute. Then the next not start at all because of corrosion.
  11. I take it by "red one" burning out, you mean the positive cable. Those are a fairly inexpensive piece to just pick up at the wal-mart and they take just a minute to replace. How you describe that sounds exactly like a bad connection. Have you tried jumping the car off?
  12. Your going to have some trouble getting used to it. Our old '83's will blow the doors of the 08 Impreza's.
  13. Double check your battery connections. Sounds like you have a crappy connection, verify there is no corrosion on your terminals.
  14. There is a great place in Clinton TN. I found this place a few months ago, guy is great and knows it all. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=83903
  15. Course you can't get any pictures at Rob's house without getting 4 Subaru's in the picture. Connie, that is cool as crap that you bought a sweet PNW car and are bringing it back to this side of the country.
  16. Big oil had to find something to keep the electric cars from taking over. Car that small, the person will just leave a big dent that can be banged out.
  17. Thats funny this was brought up. The piece in front of the door in my 83 Brat as clipped on while on my 84 hatch it was glued on. That stuff is a pain to get out of the trim pieces.
  18. When you let off the gas after revving it, she sounds like Satan blowing his nose.
  19. That has to be one of the most unique online descriptions of an exhaust, I got quite the chuckle. Can't wait to see the vid.
