As am I. On my hatch I modified them to spray a little higher by taking a screw driver and bending it back so it mas more of an angle on the spray to get it higher.

Its an interesting idea and thought of something similar last night when I went to get all the pollen off of mine. The nozzles are inside the cowl so I don't know of too many mods that could be done to it, besides maybe cutting some into the hood.
