  1. Here ya go, problem solved. I have considered taking my t-tops out and having them tinted darker to try and combat the summer heat months. Has anyone else ever gave this any consideration?
  2. Good job. Keep these EA81's on the road.
  3. I am not a big fan of those after market filters but to each their own. Did it sound anything like my Legacy?
  4. That looks awesome Rob. That could pass for a very nice used car with those sweet new interior bits. I don't know how you feel but, I have thought about taking all the stupid crap that the PO did and put them in a box and mailing it to him. You should do the same with all those crayon colored interior pieces.
  5. I would check the connection on your fusible links for starters.
  6. GD is right. A lot of the bearings that we ship out of INA (I work for Schaeffler Group) comes with little lables that say "Bearing is designed to never be greased".
  7. A speaker will stick to the side of an 83 model. Confirmed on my end.
  8. Your right about the wagon. I think its funny how on the 02-07 WRX's it was largely sedan based and now on the 08+ its wagon/hatch based.
  9. The EA81 u-joints are not staked in like the EA82. When I replaced mine in the Brat all I had to do was unbolt the driveshaft and remove the u-joint and use a vice to put the other back in. An extra set of hands makes this job so much easier.
  10. If on the white spoke wheels then have them facing out. I wish I would have.
  11. Audio, That's not exactly what I was looking for but you provided over-kill to the extreme. A lot of problems can be solved just by that demonstration. Thanks for finding it.
  12. Autozone has the pilot tool listed for $2.99 I would just spend that and save myself the headache. I think they should include one regardless though. http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,70112/initialAction,partTypeResultSet/initialN,16700435/initialNtt,/initialNo,/shopping/selectZip.htm
  13. I tried to find the animated image of the pistons moving but had no luck.
  14. I can't stand to read any automotive publication such as Car and Driver, Motortrend, etc. Every single one of them is full of Porsche worship and has a large stigma against just about all Japanese manufacturers, especially Subaru. I remember reading when they test drove the new STi. Real quick to overlook the 305 HP and focus on road noise and poor MPG.
  15. Standing at the front of the car and looking at the engine. The passenger side is the 1 and 3 cylinders, driver's side is 2 and 4. Your firing order is 1-3-2-4.
  16. This is one I seen the other day at our local wal-mart. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=87729
  17. 101% bad to the bone man. I knew how bad you have been wanting a set of those and am glad to see you finally got a set. Looks like you kicked King Midas in the groin and took his car.
  18. Good news, I will be changing transmissions out here in a few days and have been shopping around for a good clutch to use.
  19. Here in TN, thats the first thing you are suppose to take off. Guess with 2 plates it cuts down on cost when you just leave them on the particular car.
  20. Connie, have you not created a ruckus by driving around CT with Washington state plates?
  21. As am I. On my hatch I modified them to spray a little higher by taking a screw driver and bending it back so it mas more of an angle on the spray to get it higher.
  22. Its an interesting idea and thought of something similar last night when I went to get all the pollen off of mine. The nozzles are inside the cowl so I don't know of too many mods that could be done to it, besides maybe cutting some into the hood.
