Ea81 to ea82t
If obtaining parts is an issue, you can always throw up a wanted ad in the wanted thread. I am willing to bet some people will not have a problem doing international shipping.

Your LSD.
If doing belt buckels, I would just like one with a big Subaru symbol (New Gen).

Where to buy axle assembly, or just cv joint, 1984 GL 4wd wagon
By drive shaft I am having to assume you mean the CV axle. What comes to my mind with "drive shaft" is the shaft that runs from the back of the tranny to the differential. As for axles, MWE and Subaru axles are the ones to go with. I have made the mistake twice of using a parts store axle. For example, my Brat's left side axle knocks under acceleration and my Legacy with an axle installed in January, clicks when turned all the way toward the left. Just go to the dealership and save yourself the time, money, and trouble.

Battery Suggestion - 2000 Forester
Durania replied to howards11's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI wait to shop till after 1 A.M. I have been through 3 Wal-Mart batteries and am waiting any day for the one that came in my Brat to kick the bucket. We have a Die Hard Gold in the Legacy that has been in there for about 10 years, thing has out lated 4 alternators.

92 brumby
We quit getting them in 87 but 85 was the best year to get one. Still had the seats and had hydraulic lifters.

The price for our Brat's is greatly inflated, still love to see some pics of it. From what I know about the Australian auto market, you people value your "utes".

Durania replied to RSCoupe's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe 2.5RS coupe is exactly what I am looking to buy. I want one that is bone stock. This is a big thread over at Nasioc, a ton of ideas. Good job snagging one. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=526389&page=105

2wd to 4wd conversion
Differential Mount a carrier bearing for the two piece drive shaft. I believe the trailing arms are different. 2-Axles Don't know about an EA82, but might have to alter cluster to illuminate the 4WD light. This is just off the top of my head. If you want to do it Jordan, more power to you. I'm rooting for ya.

Just did a full cooling system flush on mine so I am good on heat. -The autozone axle is about to kick the bucket. -Tranny should be replaced this summer along with clutch, judders when letting out on it. Its all or nothing with it. -Windshield is cracked and is needing a new gasket like crazy. -Stuck jump seat belt -Tailgate is trash

stumped... new ea82 overheats
Not sure if I am understanding you right or not. Is your radiator fins free of obstructions since you have been rallying it? And are you 100% sure your fans are working?

stumped... new ea82 overheats
Under what conditions is it overheating?

unsteady idle
Just to throw this out there. Have you checked your intake manifold gaskets? They cause some crazy motor issues when they go out.

awd to 2 wheel drive harm?
Durania replied to monk50's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI suggest this for MPG: http://www.toyota.com/yaris/index.html I would just leave it in AWD and not risk blowing out the duty C solenoid. The extra miles per gallon, if any, is not worth it.

Another Heating Issue (Flushed!)
Flushed her today. I found the garden hose fitting at the Lowe's last night, and what a tool! Fits perfectly inside the heater hoses and holds itself so you can run and turn water off. I started with flushing the hoses, then stuck it in the radiator and alternated between putting my finger off the tubes that come off the intake manifold that the heater hoses clamp to. Seen a good couple wads of trash come shooting out of the tubes. Then replaced another OEM thermostat with another OEM. Filled it back up with water drove it up the road and back. Had great heat the entire time and was even running a little cooler. Drove it back home and repeated processes. Drained radiator and put new anti-freeze back in. I attempted the "fill on an incline" process to try and eliminate air in my system. We will have to wait and see how that turns out. Drove the twenty minutes back to my apartment and had heat the entire time at an average speed of 60 mph. I am hoping I fixed this issue once and for all. Thanks to everyone that contributed to helping me keep my Brat on the road.

09 Forester thoughts???
Durania replied to chef_tim's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI know that you already have a WRX but my salesman buddy told me that they are offering a $250/month lease on the new WRX sedan. 10,000 miles per year. Didn't sound too bad of a deal.

- 09 Forester thoughts???
Durania replied to chef_tim's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXJust got back from looking at one. They do not have a temp gauge but an idiot light. Lots of room throughout the entire car. Talk from the salesmen is a H-6 as under the hood looks to have a ton of room for one. The blue gauges are a nice touch as well.- Ignition left on, engine not running, damage?
Don't feel bad about being able to remove the key. My Brat is like that and its great on cold mornings, cause I can go out and start it and go back in my apartment to wait. - 09 Forester thoughts???
