  1. Course you can't get any pictures at Rob's house without getting 4 Subaru's in the picture. Connie, that is cool as crap that you bought a sweet PNW car and are bringing it back to this side of the country.
  2. Big oil had to find something to keep the electric cars from taking over. Car that small, the person will just leave a big dent that can be banged out.
  3. Thats funny this was brought up. The piece in front of the door in my 83 Brat as clipped on while on my 84 hatch it was glued on. That stuff is a pain to get out of the trim pieces.
  4. When you let off the gas after revving it, she sounds like Satan blowing his nose.
  5. That has to be one of the most unique online descriptions of an exhaust, I got quite the chuckle. Can't wait to see the vid.
  6. How about you get a video of it. I would like to hear the ER27 with a flowmaster exhaust.
  7. I do not have access to the EA82 5 speed and I will just have this transmission lying around after 86BRATMAN buys the motor. The bottom line is I am content with the 4 speed.
  8. The bright side is at least its RWD. Nipper, I agree, let's hope they don't lose the boxer motor.
  9. I am on a first name basis with everyone at Earl Duff in Harriman. They have always been great about getting parts and have done a lot of service on my buddy's WRX, several, several times.
  10. I don't see it happening. They have spent almost the entire life of the corporation promoting the 4WD which later turned to AWD. I think by them doing that is pissing it all away.
  11. I went by there the other day and there is an 08 Imp up there with a roof rack that looks like someone welded a shopping cart to the roof it's so big. I am not a Grayson Subaru fan, place screwed my buddy over on his 02 WRX. 2nd gear went out on him day after buying it.
  12. You bought an EA82T, that is a completely different motor than the carb'd EA81 that came with the Brat. The EA81 is a great motor and you should stick to it. The EA82T WILL blow head gaskets on you. Hopefully the 5 speed is dual range, those will require some modification to work but they are worth it.
  13. I did it the third day with my Brat. Luckily I just broke the tail light and didn't hit the side of the bed.
  14. I thought about checking out the things that LuK automotive makes as I work for the the Schaeffler Group warehouse. I realized that the XT6 clutch would not work being that it is an EA81 when I did some searching last night. I am getting pretty bad shutter when I let out on the clutch has it is, did an OEM cable and that helped a bit but I think it is about time. Anyone have any favorite brands and tips for installation/removal?
  15. A buddy and I will be pulling the motor and tranny come this summer. The transmission from my 65K white brat will be going in with it as well as the linkage from it as well (very tight). I will be putting a new clutch in while it is out and was wanting some advice on which is a good one to go with. I also heard it is a good idea to have flywheel turned while out.
  16. I am willing to bet that if it didn't have the drain plug, you would be telling us why it needs one.
  17. How about you get some pictures, I can't seem to get enough EA81T.
  18. Reading all this made me realize that local shops have paid for their presses many times over. Straight profit.
  19. I'll take my t-tops over the bed covers anyday.
  20. The GMB one was all that was in stock that day at autozone. I added it up and it was cheaper to fix Brat with that water pump than it would have been to fill the Legacy back up with gas. I have drove it about 50 miles since installed and it has yet to get above the notch on the heat hand. If the GMB one had said "Made in Mexico" on it, and not Japan. Things might have been a little bit different about me getting that one from the autozone.
  21. I considered the other day going up to the Harbor Freight and buying a shop press. For the price that I have paid for a machine shop to press bearings into a hub, I could have bought my own press and done it myself and not have to rely on someone during the week to do it.
