  1. ..where is dey is? Sounding like its out near GD....gotta have one.I mean two....damn I'd get 2 sets if I had the dough right now.I really don't want to have another deer waste another wagon.Especially my rust free baby turbo "waggin" from the southwest....every night I drive home I have to look extra close for eyeballs glaring back at me from the side of the parkway.
  2. 3 CT guys who all own vintage Subarus!!!! The trifecta baby!!!!! You guys haven't met yet....lucky for Scott hahaha just kiddin' Andrew. Scotty, good talking to you tonight.Good to see you here too.Check the Meet/Greet Forum and get in on the Carlisle post.Let me/us know if we're all going together. By now the snow HAS to be hitting Norwich. It's all powder amd FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!!! Had a great time after I hung up.Damn near wasted an alloy on a curb shot...EEEEEEK!Not bad though.Hopefully I wake up and there's 4 tires holding air. Talk to you soon.
  3. Not always true GD. You're right that for the price it'll be hard but not impossible to find something to beat around with.I'm sure even at 19 that he knows his money isn't getting one like StuartC's was. That one was absolutely worth $3000 here and then some IMO. But,to find a Brat that isn't rotted all over isn't *that* hard. They'll have a few years left in them as long as the crossmember isn't rotted or the shock-strut towers. NH,Too bad you won't come down here to CT.There's still a few down on the shoreline.I get at least 2-3 calls a year from guys with them either looking for parts or to sell their Brat.I still have one guy's number.I'll call and check for you if you want but he's down on here somewhere, like near Middletown if I remember right. Also there's a Brat in Enfield F/S by a board member. It's the one posted here and it looks like there's a bidder. Is that you Louis bidding on Chris' Brat?? There's several in the Hartford area as well.Mostly east of the river.Good luck kid.
  4. Cloth huh? I've got an '89 Touring and it's the typical vinyl/plastic.
  5. Now now boys!!!.......keep nicey for a few minutes here.Just posted on his thread in the SVX wanted forum..... http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=177366#post177366 Billy, come on brother.Things are going great for you.Baby coming.Obviously if you can swing the cars you have and buy an old dealer's stock, even at cents on the dollar, you're doing OK.Make some folks happy by dumping that load of old stock. You started this board and man it's your duty to at least keep contact with the folks you were involved with on this stuff.Dude,I've gotten into some conversations that have tossed some serious "charges(?)" your way. We've all taken some time to fulfill an order.Heck,I've got one (Witte) that I owe the guy for over a year now I think. But I contact him every so often and I'm busting my butt to get his and a few other's stuff out ASAP because I just can't stand it anymore either. If you need help with this stuff I think it's possible for at least one of us to get to your place and work with you some weekend.I'll even try.Might need to bring my 6yr old son but I could concievably do a weekend. Really looking forward to any reply.
  6. OK Billy,I hear the sound of mud in the distance....getting closer....closer.....some folks I've talked to have mentioned stuff that I'd rather not set flame to right now. Just say something. You forgot, you've been sick, you got extremely lazy....something please.I posted this to try to make things right for all.But from the emails and conversations I've had it's beging to get "muddy" around here.
  7. I wanna hang with a deicidal maniac. Nice going big E !!
  8. Well, another board member found Billy alive and well in the SVX message board hosted by this same board host. Billy,I expect you'll be reading this before emailing or posting here.As you can see there's no mud slinging here.Just some folks who want to be even or get some of that stock you dangeld in our faces. You had some manuals for me and a heap of 70's parts. Speak to me Billy, speak to me boy!!!!
  9. Way to go Flowey...feel the power of the 3AT (yawn)
  10. http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/schedule/import/index.asp May 21-23,2004......be there!!!
  11. No,we don't NEED 25 but if we get 25 the group is given a tent to use by the organizers....and at least two of us have vowed to cook a nice meal for the gang. The main thing is to just show up,25 or not.Well worth the trip.Carlisle is THE event on the east coast.Even attracts folks from all over the country.
  12. Rob,if things work out and we contact him I tend to doubt he'll deny that you sent money.I think just the opposite, that he needs his tree shaken and then we'll get the fruit. I will personally take care of your stuff if this ever happens and you won't pay me a dime. We'll hack it out of the total lot purchacse and get it all at a few cents on the dollar just like he did.I know you've helped me bigtime when I needed that gas filler throat. No sweat returning the favor....Billy,give us a chance dag nabbit.
  13. I feel this should be posted here but if you guys feel you need to move it then I'll live with that. What's the general consensus here about Billy C and the teaser of the year award? Some of you guys have even sent money and gotten zippo.I'm not that unfortunate but it's winter time and I was really hoping to get some stuff happening towards my '78 resto. What to do?I've emailed(not lately though)and gotten no response. Is anyone close to him in proximity or relation? Justin??Anyone in GA?? Rather than list our complaints let's concentrate on a solution.Group purchase and relieve him of the weight it's cast on him and his newlywed?...not so newly anymore. Billy if you see this you have to know we don't want to sit here and rag on you buddy.
  14. Congrats. Be sure to remind me about the '78 FSM later in the week.
  15. As of this post on 1/25/04 Committed,or should be..... moosens-Paul TinSoldier-Ryan Dennis-as portrayed by himself BratySVX,a.k.a. benebob-Ben hocrest-Dave TomRHere-Tom,not wongleflute or Harry ...got that? SubaruBrat-? Kecksnext-Hooter's Girl factory inspector MeekyMoose-Tony Wagon78-Scott Considering: OHNoah-as himself Oobnuker-Art That's only a dozen if all above commit. Looking for responses from: Skip-whip out the excuse book Trogdor-I know you might have some gig to hit WagonsOnly-just drop off the '75 at my place on the way home,if not sooner. clantieri-you'll be in Vegas WAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!:boohoo: EJ-you still one of us? BattleXT6-Jason-skip a tatoo session and stop by j/k There's been a few new members from the northeast lately. It'd be nice to see a few more folks show up.It's a really cool event rain or shine but obviously if it isn't nasty out you'll see some cars you will absolutely drool over.
  16. congrats! My touring wagon turned 200k recently.Unfortunately it's been in my sister inlaw's hands since 199,990 so she got to turn it over.Hoping for another 200k.
  17. Dennis good luck with the next one. Can we do Saturday early??? Things have freed up so I can make it there by 11AM and be gone by 12 I'm sure. Talk to me....
  18. a little heat goes a long way on those 36mm's.....PB Blaster too,but the torch for a few seconds on that nut makes it a lovely experience.
  19. ....ahhhh I don't know about *that*.Maybe a solid $1800-2300 tops, only because there's just not much interest in it.The kids want a WRX or STi and the folks willing to spend a fair amount on an XT are few and far between. Saw a black Turbo XT today.Definitely stood out on the road. Was being driven into the ground but still looked like fun.
  20. My brother used a kit from NAPA and he's doing fine with it after about 12K miles so far.The kit has T-belt,cam seals and O rings, and the tensioner pulleys. Can't remember the price.
  21. OK Which one of you will chop some sections off that sucker if you're going to canibalize it? What's left that's not spoken for already?
  22. Thinking the 1st yr. of EA81 was 1979 in USA and last I guess is 1989 in the Hatch but I've only seen up to '87 here.Still have yet to come across an '88 or '89 EA81 car in CT. EA82 started in 1985.I assume they ran untill the end of the Loyale which I guess is '94.Don't see many '93 or '94 Loyales here either. Vac pump I have no idea of begining and ending dates.
  23. Ed's a great guy.Sent me the EGR switch before payment.I looked quick but couldn't find his address. Free bump to the top.
  24. I don't have one but someone I know does.GLF! I just had one and sold it to WagonsOnly. Is that really it's own size? Can't use another coupe or hardtop? Well,if you want to take a ski road trip now's the time.Pretty sure you can score the windshield within your price range. Oh BB,Wendy and the Soul Shakers.http://www.geocities.com/imjames69/WendyRich.html Good quick read for info/pics:http://artists.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/Wendy_Rich/ Fronted Janis Joplin's former band-Big Brother and the Holding Company.STRONG voice, great blues singer and she rocks.A Tampa St.Pete favorite for a while. That's Tunstall's off of 19.Worth a stop in.Good luck riding that area.I know it's a little hairy in that traffic. No contamporary bikes at the moment.Just a couple old Ducatis and a Sears(Puch) for the wife. Cheers!
