I've read through Snowman's and GD's conversion manuals and I know they predominately deal with the Manual Transmission SPFI. Here's what I have: An EA81 Carbed 86 RHD Brat, Manual Transmission. My donar is an 89 gl Wagon SPFI...but it's an Auto! When everything is stripped/hooked up and ready to go-will the ECU work with the Manual Transmission? Providing I hook up all neutral sensors, etc, etc.

Lifted XT6 with air suspension
coylethebarbarian replied to idosubaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I just found an 89 XT6 with no rust, just faded paint....the air suspension has already been removed...huhmm, I might have to go this route 'cause a lifted XT6 looks Freakin' Sweet! -

I missed this post the first time as well. That's a sweet XT6! Like the Forester wheels too. I personally like the lift, I had been meaning to do a search on lifted XT6's and glad this one came back up. Sure, some like their cars low...to each his or her own I guess, but I'm not that into "low riders" -

It's something that's for sure...some would call it obsession. I've 3 here in New Mexico, 2 of which are working....and four in Kentucky stored at family farms... Now if I only had storage and a four bay garage.... -

I'm in Albuquerque. I'm currently working on my 3 door coupe project. Acquiring all the needed parts...EJ 25 engine, tubular bumpers, roof rack, lift kit, etc... My Brats are in storage back in KY at my parent's farm...haven't figured out the logistics of having them shipped out here....although I don't have room at my house here. Would be up for wheeling, as well as parts trades/pick ups...I haven't hit the Junk Yards here in ABQ lately but the yards always have a few soobs... -
SJR Group Buy Winter 2009 lift kits

Yep, I noticed this in Jan...it's been killing me since then! I'd have snagged two lifts at that price! One for my 87 3 door coupe and a spare! Probably a good idea I didnt'...have to do a headgasket repair/water pump/timing belt in my 04 Baja...but that's another story.... -
EJ swap questions
coylethebarbarian replied to brysawn's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Numchuck's and Cmiller's write ups are great! Make sure you sift through all the thread of Numchuck's...the initial links he provided no longer exist, as he updated it several times. I'm using those write ups on the swaps and the threads discussing it further for my starting place/wiring info/extras needed. -

Welcome! Good to see someone in the surrounding states! For Free? What a deal! The people here are great! You'll find all you need and more. -
I've done a quick search and didn't find anything...only looked at first page of results...but then again, I've never seen anything on here about a definite lift kit for the Baja. I know the drivetrain is essentially a legacy outback...so, would a lift kit for the outback work? Mine is a 2004, sport package (non-turbo). I'd like a 4" lift. Any ideas? Mods? suggestions?

This is a great write up! I've been gather all the needed items for my 3-door coupe project and this has definitely motivated me more and given me more ideas of what I need to do to my coupe. I pick up my EJ22 this week and will soon start on the rebuild of it-if all goes according to plan! Keep the updates/mods coming!
