Thought I would start this thread to give updates and pics on the progress of my new Brat! More to come in the next several weeks!
  2. BUMP! For someone to pull these and hold them for me, I'll even send a money order for the 1/2 the cost once I have proof you have them!
  3. If ANYONE wants to pull these for me and hold them until mid febuary, I'll be in the Vancouver, WA & Portland area. I'll pick them up from you and pay you the cost of the wheel and tire if you have tire on them. keep the receipt, I'll pull tires off and take them back.
  4. What a great car to be in a zombie plauge movie! Soob survivors! hehehe
  5. I'm planning on hitting the local "U Pull" JY that I found in Albuquerque before I go home. I'll write down what is there, try to snap some photos and post them up here for you all to see...that way, if anything intrests you we can work something out for me to pick it up and transport it.
  6. It looks like I am going to have to drive the Brat home...I'll start with rotating the wheels, and go from there...when I finally make it home I'll park the Brat and go through everything you guys listed and whatever else I can come up with!
  7. I've noticed at the PAP's in KY and Tenn...the cars will be moved from week to week...I've found a soob, came back the next week, and it be moved to a completely different part of the lot. I guess they like to keep the lot looking like it has new additions to it...whatever works for PAP I guess...
  8. Thanks for the input so far...I suspected some of the things mentioned...and I agree, there are way too many things that the wobble could be to know for sure...but I hope to be able to check a few things out when I pick it up and go from there... It looks like I will be able to trailer it....but just in case that falls through I wanted some other options... I live very near to Lexington, KY...about 45 minutes away....
  9. I will be heading back to KY from NM around the 15th of January. I'll be on I-40 from Albuquerque to Nashville then onto Lexington, KY area. If anyone needs anything transported, picked up, dropped off, etc let me know. If you are anywhere in the East or South and want to meet me in KY or somewhere half way once I get home we can work something out. I'll make a list of names/phone #'s if I get several takers to keep it all straight...
  10. I Just finished the deal with "Bad-Brat No Cookie" for his 85 Brat. I'll be picking it up over the holidays for the journey from VA to KY (I'm only in NM for my job for about another month) The Brat has "Front End Vibration" as he states it. The front axle was replaced about 2000 miles ago. Any ideas of the problem? Axle itself? Front Diff? CV Joint? And what I could do to it when I arrive for the pickup? I should be placing it on a trailer if all goes according to plan...but if I could get a "quick fix" so to speak, I'd just drive it home, if this "death wobble" isn't too bad, considering it was his daily driver for 2 years. The vibration is why he sold it, was just tired of working on it. Thanks for the thoughts ahead of time.
  11. Now that is what I like about this group of people here....everyone is eager to help and quick to offer any advice.....here's a bump to keep the thread going...

  18. I'm originally from KY and finding a rust free soob was next to impossible...there are definitely more here in the mid-west and west...i have my eye on 3 brats I have found so far....I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
  19. Wish I could import a set of Desert Rat Wheels & a full sized spare from Oz...and still come out on top in the price game!!!
  20. Definitelly check out the RAAMmat...I just went to the link, and if his product is as good as all the testimonials say, and it is at a cheaper price than Dynamat, then I'll be going for it...
