It's encouraging to see so many of you from way South so excited about the show. Wish other groups would get a little more psyched up.

Andy. Contact Aaron's Auto Wrecking here in Seattle. 1-800-541-7271. They're a Soob only J/Y. Ask for Tom or Lenny. Tell 'em who told you to call and where you heard about it. Might help with the price and shipping time. They ship btw. It'll be the right part, don't jimmy rig your imp. EZ

It's a small world
I took a trip with my wife and boy up to Vancouver, B.C. this last weekend. Saturday a.m. on the way up, I spotted Scott's wagon and uncoolperson's? red hatch heading the other way on I-5. At the border crossing on the way back, I noticed a red ea 81 wagon in the row next to me a ways back. A minute later, there was Galen carfreak walking up to say hi. He and his buddy's were cool enough to let us cut into their line to try to speed up our wait, it was pretty hot and the boy was trying to sleep. I half thought you guys might catch us, but I was making pretty good time and the trafic was pretty thick. Anyways, good to see you guys. Go Soobarus!

Stuff we'll have going on that we haven't worked out the details enough to add to the website. . . http://www.westcoastsubarushow.com/ Saturday after the Show and Shine w there will be a "locally guided" run thru the woods nearby. We'll have maps ready for everyone beforehand. If you have one, bring your 2 way radio, if not go buy one, it will come in handy. This will include some-what tame trails that will allow everyone who doesn't mind taking their car off road to participate. There will be hill climbs and other fun stuff for bigger more extreme rigs along the way. ------------------------------------ Sunday we're proud to announce that Paul Eklund will be running his "Primitive Racing" Rally Cross School on site at the fairgrounds. We're not exactly sure of the format or prices yet, but wanna let you know just the same. ---------------------------- And of course we'll have the mudpit area in the horse corral in full swing again. Bring your mudders!!

Riddle me this.
Can any of you tell me the part# for the ej dual range tranny? If so, I may have a connection. or 2. Just the part #. . .

Where Is The Pitch Rod
Check your motor mounts and tranny mounts. Faulty ones are BIG contributers to boot death and axle stress. Erither that or let off the gas a little. The red arrows point to the "pitch rod" or "engine stabilizer".

Outback lift kit $550
Are the Super Swampers included? j/k I've seen Albi's, it looks pretty sharp in person.

Do the Wave.....
That'll push right out. lol If you keep it up, it'll be as pretty as Ken's in no time. *That would be me who got the call yesterday afternoon from a very excited Mick who had a pretty gnarly story to tell about his adventures. *

Bbq Cancelled Due To.....
Up at the top of the Meet and Greet page is a Sticky for McBrat's USMB members map. If you look at it, you'll find that there aren't too many members in Tacoma. I happen to live in North Seattle, but never saw your post. I noticed youposted Monday, gave everybody till Sunday to RSVP, but by Wednesday you were already up in arms because of no reply. I gotta level with you. I hate the Tacoma traffic and probably wouldn't drive to Tacoma for a bb-q. Make it in a central location, closer to other members. Pick a park you're familiar with or something.

Bit of info for those who want to know
Thanks for the luck, I know we'll need it. That or for one of the guys in AU to quit bragging about how popular they are and take the initiative to arrange to send some to us. I doubt I'll ever try rock crawling in an EJ car. Crappy approach and departure angles just won't allow that stuff. If it's gonna get a huge lift, then might as well add in a transfer case and the d/r tranny won't matter anyways. . . But in the mean time. An EJ d/r would be really sweet for hill climbs and the like. Slow trails, or snowy climbs like the one that did in your clutch when you followed us up to Greenwater. The EJ d/r would have to be way stronger than an EA, and you could probably get a clutch that's ten times as strong. Well better anyways. Exidy.

Skid plate for your GC impreza?
Yeah yeah, and how much do those cost? I'm talking about a factory skid plate to protect the oil pan. You hit the nail on the head. If the exaust gets taken out, the car gets a little louder, you heli-coil the holes, replace the exaust, go on. If the oil pan gets taken out, you lose oil fast and probably over heat your engine before you even know it. I've never seen one. Nor on a legacy either. Jamie said she took her legacy to a dealership to get work and when she picked it up the skid plate was mounted.

Skid plate for your GC impreza?
So I recently got my hands on a skid plate meant for a 96-99? legacy GT. (SubieGal's old one, thanks for letting me have it Ed ) Thinking it would bolt right up, I grabbed it. In the past, I tried to fit a ea81/82 skid plate, but it didn't seem long enough. Well. The Leg GT plate is virtually the same size as the older one. The holes are drilled in different places, but it's the same skid plate. The Leg GT plate wound up having the holes in the wrong place too. I had to grind them out quite a bit to fit it. It fits to the same holes in the core support, (although my imp's core support only has two holes) and to the front two bolts on the little plate that sits under the engine crossmember. The older style ones mount to the rear bolts on that little plate, hence why I thought the old skid plates were too small. So yeah, the "hard to find" skid plate for the impreza has been under our noses the whole time. ea81/82 will work fine with a little drilling. I imagine the legacy 90-94 will be the same as the impreza, but someone will have to experiment to find out for sure. EZ

Red Robin Meet and Greet March/April?
It's still in Seattle, so quite a bit closer. You'll take the Northgate Exit, (one after the NE 85th Str) and follow Nothgate Way Westbound for about 2 miles or less. *Northgate turns into Holeman Road after you cross Greenwood Ave.* wongleflute's is on the left side of the road when you get to the top of the Hill. Big orange sign. If you see a Mikky D's, you went too far. (not the mikky ds next to I-5)
