  1. you might want to try a tow truck company because some of them transport long distance because that seems high because there's a company here that will transport a car from florida-maine for only $600
  2. another thing is on your short trips the thermostat isn't opening in that time and that pressure has built up and blows out the excess
  3. i'm running 15x7 with a 4.25" offset off of a 88 dodge D50 if you go below a 4.25" offset you"ll need fender flares or wider than a 15x8
  4. if this has happen a couple of times then i'd replace you hub and both washers because your hubs probably going to strip out soon
  5. i haven't seen any do the 8 lug conv. but i've seen then run the 8 lug rim and the bfg all-terr. do go down the road a little smoother then the swampers if its going to be a tar baby

  9. jc whitney is your best bet and a jy windsheild because if the windsheild has never been replaced you'll never get the gasket out in one piece or try glass place around you there a chance one of them may still have one in stock they usually run about $65-75 if that helps:)
  10. not to be rude but the fuel pump is on the drivers side under the brat where the floor goes up to the bed . have someone turn over the brat while you have your hand on the pump you should feel it vibrating only while turning it over:eek:
  11. You can go right to Advanced Auto Parts to purchase a spring compressor. They are always in stock and they cost only 20 bucks(by Ampro). I bought one to do my struts.
  12. you could try never dull i think its made by eagle-one now.it removes rust and help prevent rust between cleanings
  13. did you have then test that new alt. because most of them rebuilds are junk your best bet is to get a jy one or have a professional rebuild it i bought a brand new alt. took it to a pro and he pulled it apart and it had a bent bendix he said it wouldn't of lasted more than a week usually you'll go though 5 or 6 before you get a good one because they use the cheapest parts to rebuild them and most rear defoggers do draw alot of amps especially if you have any thing else on with it so don't use it
  14. did you happen to check the torque conv. bolts and did you lock the conv. in
  15. it depends if you've got a lot of lights or a descent stereo with a good amp then its your best bet because the optima battery recovers alot easier and saves on your altenator
  16. thats pretty good a subaru haulin a ford out of a snow bank i would of thought the f word would of been to heavy cool subaru
  17. why I couldn't jack up the rear end to spin the tires, however it's a good way to keep people away from your parts! pictures can be seen at the below address... http://usmb.net/gallery/Subafied
  18. if you have the radiator with the plastic tanked ends then it could be that when its cold the tanks shrink and seep a little until warmed up .thats what my sidekick does. to lazy to change it right now trying to finish the brat
  19. has anyone tried putting legacy seats in a subaru brat and if so how difficult is it
  20. have you tried to just flushing the heater core and nothing else plug off the lower hose and fill the upper hose with a bottle of coolant flush and wateruntil full let it sit for an hour and then flush it with water
