Will These Wheels Work?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Tye's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I forgot to mention, that the extra inch you see on your measuring tape, is for the Tire's lip to seat & seal, but you must read the Tire: it states that is 13" Kind Regards. -
Will These Wheels Work?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Tye's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The answer is No. You can not put safely a 14" tire on a 13" rim. The Rims you have are 13" so, you'll need to find another rims in 4X140 Lug Pattern, that have 14" in order to use those Tires; such like Peugeot Rims; or you can find 14" rims with the 6X139 lug pattern, and Redrill your Hubs to six lugs; using the procedure stated at the USRM. There are other options as well, but those two are the most easy / common. Kind Regards. -
The answer is Yes, the Crosstrek is an Awesome car, capable to manage hard road situations while being Safe, and has the perfect size, balanced to get a parking spot easy, while you can carry lots of stuff on it. Kind Regards.

EA82 timing belt change.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to kybishop's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Gates, in my own humble Opinion, are the very Best Belts you can use in your Subaru, right after the Original Subaru ones. Other brands might need a change a little Earlier, to prevent the car letting you stranded in the Middle of Nowhere. Kind Regards. -
Installing Weber 32/36 backwards

Thank you for sharing the information. Kind Regards. -
Welcome! If the High Beams are only working with the Lever Pulled, but Not working with the Lever Pushed, it sounds to me like there shall be a Problem with the Lever itself and / or the Wiring for it. You can first, check if the incoming / outgoing wiring is working as it Should; then if it is alright, you can change the Lever with another one, from a Subaru in a Junk Yard. Good Luck! ... Kind Regards.

Holy Cow! Don't forget to add the Model and Year of your Subaru, Along the Photo. Kind Regards.

Installing Weber 32/36 backwards
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to nrwphoto's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I really respect the other's way of thinking... But Dear Fellows... Haven't you Read my Writeup? I solved Completely this issue, by using another Adaptor Plate only. Here you can see the Photos: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/71510-ideas-on-swaping-a-weber-carb-on-ea82%C2%B4s/?do=findComment&comment=1027077 As easy as Plug and Play, not a single modification is Needed. Also, if you wanted to use the Weber turned 180º (Backwards) You can hook the accelerator's cable plate 180º (Upside down) In order to use the Factory cable, but Pulling from below... ► Edit: I added a Link to this thread on my Writeup, because good information is worth to be shared. Kind Regards. -
How tough is your subaru?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to crazyhorse001's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
My "BumbleBeast" and I, already have more than Thirty Years together So we have plenty of interesting stories to tell, but these four are the most: My dad drove 70 miles my EA82 "BumbleBeast" in 1995, with a Broken Head! He poured fresh water to the Hot, empty radiator after a Head gasket Failure... The valves came loose and it ran on two cylinders, but never stopped 'til got home. My Subie got severly Rear Ended in december of 2003 by a 4X4 toyota Hi-Lux, The hit was so hard that I got Whiplash on my Neck, and I hit a Yaris in front... But I rebuilt it the best I could, with patience and time; it recovered its shape. Once, I drove it with a Broken rear (Stock) Shock Absorber, several miles... I drove it after a full tank refilled with Diesel by a Gas Station's employee while I went to the bathroom, I believe that he thought that the Subie was Diesel engined, due to the loud T.O.D. ... ... 61 Miles in second gear and low RPM's to prevent overheating the EA82, we went Blowing an Enormous white cloud of concentrated smoke, But the Subie Always reaches home with us, safely; the only damaged parts were the melted sparkplugs, thanks to God. Kind Regards. -
Here's a good option: Willy has an Awesome collection of "Fuglies" (He calls Fugly to the First gen Subaru Leones) Kind Regards.

... I forgot to ask: Why Fake AE86? The Subaru Leone Hatchback has almost Nothing to do with that Toyota. Kind Regards.

Why won't my car start?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to jnorion's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I hope everything goes back to normal, Soon. You can see photos of the average Downpour in my Country, Here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/87725-an-open-request-to-loyale-27-turbo/page-16?do=findComment&comment=1311210 Back on Topic, you might want to re-check the Wire that feeds Power to the Distributor, maybe it has corroded / loose contacts, thus explain the Voltage loss on said wire only. Kind Regards. -
My EA82 Subaru, once Blew (literally) an oil Filter, but it was Luber-Finer, not Fram. I am sticking with Purolator 10028 since decades ago, no problems so far... Also, surprisingly, certain oil Filters are very Cheap at the Car's Dealer, or at least here, the Kia Dealer sells their Original Korean oil Filters, at half price than Wix, Purolator or Fram ... ... Just to share some information... Kind Regards. ►Edit: sorry for the offtopicness

2" lift making it hard to steer.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to jread's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yes, you can use 1" crossmember Blocks. But the Camber issue may not be corrected by only Changing Blocks... Kind Regards. -

I thought that such Floodings were more common here in Honduras, after our Huge caribbean Downpours... I hope everything is alright... Yes, You're Right. Remember the Firing Order 1-3-2-4 and set the wires in the proper order. Kind Regards. -
After guessing a lot, I found rae's correct Web Link to his online photo album. here it is: ~► http://imageshack.com/i/p53WzquKj You can click over that web address to go directly to the online photo album, or you can paste each Photo here, using their individual URL address... Let me try to paste a couple of photos from Rae's album, here: It works good, you only need to do a right click over the displayed photo at imageshack, and then choose: "Copy image's URL" then, come to do a post here, and after clicking on the image icon, paste the copied URL address in the dialog box... "Voilá" it works. Kind Regards.
