  2. welcome, & definatly check out those sites, this guy who posted above me is awesome
  3. sorry to be off topic, but WHERE ARE THE PICS OF YOUR BRAT? i want to see them.
  4. its always a pain when people don`t want to do the job. whats the old saying "bad employees ruin a good business"its so true anyway, sounds like you will be back on the road in no time.
  5. sears $8 rubber mats, i buy them for every car i own, by far the best quality, and believe me, they are heavy.whenever something spills, just take the whole mat and dump it outside, and they can also take alot of mud before it spills out on the carpet.they also have the rear mats, and long ones for the trunk
  6. i usually just take the complete tank right out, go over to the back of my yard, or the neighbors yard:lol: and let it drain for a while, the with carb cleaner, and an air gun, let the cleaner sit for 10 mins, and blow through the hoses, also change the fuel filters and such.once the tank is done draing, throw some fresh gas in and shake it around a little, then dump that, reassemble everything, and it should be fine. you could also drain the tank without taking it out, or at least i did on a vw, just get one of those syphoning kits and hook it right to the fuel line that attatches to the carb, and let it run into a couple pepsi bottles or something.
  7. the honda guys dread the winter:lol: i love it too, but i hear we are supposed to get lots of rain this week (or thats what my friend said this morning).i would rather snow.
  8. did you get the freemobile back?i guess your probly just helping the guy who got it.i still think that thing would be friggin awsome weberized.probly could churp em through 3rd gear:grin:
  9. i bet its either bearings, or the axle was defective.i read in your previous post that it hits when you put it in geat, that would be the universal joint hitting.
  10. well, you can count out the transfer case, cause soobs don`t have one:) it almost sounds like the mechanic is trying to rip you off.did you check and see if the axle is new?maybe it needs wheel bearings, or possibly something in the tranny.you could always just drive it and see what happens, worse comes to worse, drive in RWD mode for a while:grin:
  11. also an ej22 swap would be good.plenty of power too, and i hear its an easy adaptation to the motor mounts.contact tailgatewagon for details on the swap.you probly could find a rusted out donor car (legacy 90-94) with all the parts for under $500, at least around here you can.
  12. it would be no problem, just don`t accelerate hard on take off.also if the A/T fluid temp light goes on, stop imediatly, this is from experience:lol:
  13. here is a pic from the back:slobber: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/mags-acc/acc-gen1/tonneau.jpg i am going to wait till after winter to cut my cap, then i`ll post good pics
  14. i know its a 97, but its in NY and a decent price for this time of the year.miles are low too. http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/car/106229549.html
  15. would there really be enough strength to make it worth while?probly would have to put a metal frame under the cap, onto the body of the truck.
  16. noice!! wish they looked that good in ea81s
  17. thats a friend of mine said who works at a dealer.it doesn`t turn a whole lot, its standard on all OB`s, not legacies.
  18. man, a hammer like that must have cut the job time like in half:lol: i want one too:brow:
  19. i bet it would haul them fine, as long as its not a pile of like 25 sheets.width would be tight inside, but on the roof would be fine.
