  1. so how did you tip the car over?If it was steep enough to roll/tip a subaru then the other rigs must have flopped on there sides numerous times... or is that how you are supposed to service parts under the car?
  2. is it just me, or does the guard not look square with the car?

yea other than the fact that we still have enough gloss black paint after painting derby cars to paint it and its going to have some chrome rims.. My friend convinced me to paint it and leave the chrome wheels alone.not sure where nice paint and bling fits in offroad,but... the paint will be a pint of rustoluem sprayed through a gun...fancy...

Its lifted, its just I have been working on a demolition derby car.As soon as I am done with that I will pick up the 235's and some 15" nissan wheels...and get some pics...
  7. you know that it isnt gonna protect against trees, rocks, stumps, etc but it will protect against tall grass.
  8. well lets see Ive broken the back window out of an 87 GL out fourwheeling.I saw a jump so I hit it,but I had all of the pieces for my new exhaust in the back... Ive went though a mud hole that got a chevy with 44" boggers stuck...Although I had 26" tractor tires and a welded rear diff...
  9. if you had the chance would you chose the same mod again?
  10. so how did it drive?Did it hook up out of the turns?how did it turn etc?
  11. if that has 12" wheels go and find some atv tires for the front of an atv then give er hell. :burnout: :burnout:
  12. looks good, but I always thought it was best to start out with a slow 2wd vehicle and learn car control and how to be smooth then switch to slow AWD,then finally fast AWD?

all a lift does is allow more clearance for tires without beating the panels. It raises the bumper height a little bit, but the real lift comes from come the tires themselves. Where I go offroading which is mostly mud I havent needed a lift. Because the subaru can drag its belly in the dirt the whole time and not slow down. Now that I am trying to go snowwheeling I need a much wider tire, that happens to be taller. For the tires to fit a lift was/is needed...
  14. No thats for smoking the green stuff.with the rear sliding glass open so you can pass to the passenger...
  15. I dont consider the bed of a regular truck to be "IN" the vehicle. I consider it to be "ON" the vehicle, because cargo that is placed in the bed sits "ON" the floor.
  16. it seems he didnt skip town.he was just a little hard to find.supposidly we both are gonna meet up at the dmv thursay morning and figure out just WTF is up.
  17. I think he skipped TOWN after some "bad blood" involving another friend.
  18. A couple of months ago I bought an 84 subaru GL from my friend. He had lost the title, no problem so we went down to the DMV and had a new title sent to his address.Aparently he got the title but was away when it arrived so he ended up loseing that title as well.SUPPOSIDLY he went down to the DMV and had a title forwarded to my address. That was two months ago.I havent seen anything yet. I am wondering what to do?It seems like he might have have skipped town because he slept with another friends girlfriend or something. He doesn't answer when I call him and he doesn't seem to be at his house. I dont really want to start out again with another subaru because Ive already changed the clutch and clutch cable, lifted it and put some lights on the roof.I have plans for bigger tires and a diesel engine swap.I am just wondering what I can do?I would like to track him down and beat him to a pulp for the aggravation he has caused me but that wont solve anything.

roger roger. my friend who is giving me the 235's has an air impact wench..So I will just crank it up when I go to get tires...Now I have to save up for some rims...
  20. how about wagon patrol? seeing as most of the vehicles are wagons or offroad cars??? if the subarus were something like honda's or toyotas you could call it large applicance offroad but subarus are not applicences how about body damage INC?

so then cranking the nut up all the way yields about an inch of additional height?I gained an inch but the front skidplate is higher than the rear diff.
  22. Because of the position of those "hood scoops" they are going to act as VENTS instead. They are right over a low pressure area in the hood. So they are actally going to be venting hot air out rather than stuffing more air into the engine bay.Sorry. If you wanted a "hood scoop" it would have its opening toward back and as close to the cabin air intakes as possible.Right at the windshield is a high pressure area so that is why the intakes for the cabin are there.Same with nascar intakes.
  23. why did you get rid of the buggy roo?
  24. Uberoo replied to Uberoo's topic in Off Road
If it breaks will that drop the car or would it just make it so it cant be adjusted ever again?
