Sheet of Plywood hits my soob on the freeway
Really glad you didn't get (physically) hurt! A woman here in S.W. Idaho was killed by a piece of lumber flying off a truck just a couple of weeks ago..... Good luck finding that s.o.b...I can't believe he didn't notice his load flying off his truck? Cheers, Chris

I really liked the wheels you used to have on it (however they do look sweet on Archemitis' Hatch!). If it were mine, I'd go up a size....Just my .02. Cheers, Chris

A realization about Leroy the junkyard Justy
I'm with bushbasher on the "Imprezy" badge. Your rig is definately a Subaru! What little odds and ends you have added from other makes isn't any different than the rigs out there running transfer cases and front diffs. I'd really like to see some pics of this creation Any way of making the original front clip work? Cheers, Chris

ej2.5 into a rx?
Dr. RX No it wasn't my car you worked on:confused: However, you would be welcome to work on it any time you were in the Boise area:brow: Speaking of EJ18's...Are they available in the US? I saw an EA81 wagon on the BYB board that had one, pretty darn cool! Cheers, Chris

Dude, everyone needs to take this quiz!
2004 Forester 2.5xs :cornfuzz: At first I thought that was pretty cool, but then it occurred to me that I might fall into some "yuppy" catagory...I'd much rather be an "old 80s" model... Cheers, Chris

headlight covers
My 93 Loyale had clear headlight covers when I bought it. Both of them have little starburst in them proving their worth! I haven't been able to locate an new ones however.... If yoou can find them, get them. Good luck, Chris

Window Replacement
I replaced the rear quarter window in my 87 GL. Removing the old (shattered) glass an gluing in the new was a real pain. I am thinking the rear glass on a Loyal is a gasket type (at least it is on my 93), so you may want to double check the fit of the glass from an older donor. Good luck, Chris

Camshaft Sprocket bolt tork/timing belt tension
Hey all First of all let me start by stating that I have just spent an hour and a half searching the search concerning this problem and wasn't able to find an answer:cornfuzz: I am in the process of replacing my timing belts (first time, lots of fun...). I have come to the part where you put 18lbs of tork on one of the camshaft sprocket bolts counter clock wise after which you tighten the tensioner (per Haynes). Here is the problem. I had to replace the cam seals, so I had to remove the sprockets. When I reinstalled the cam sprockets, Haynes said to tork the sprocket bolts to 80-97 in-lbs (7-8lbs), and Chiltons said to tork to 6-7lbs. Well when I go to do the CCW 18lb tork on the cam sprocket bolt it loosens up the bolt:banghead: What am I doing wrong? Big thanks in advance for any comments/direction Cheers, Chris

Front "side marker lights"/ tail lights won't turn off
Well folks Yes indeed, it was the (suspected) switch, again too easy! A cool side note: I told the wife that I found the answer to the problem by posting on USMB, and she said "maybe that isn't such a bad site after all"...Seems I spend a little too much time here Thanks again! Chris

Front "side marker lights"/ tail lights won't turn off
Oh my heavens, thats too easy! I just sent the wife out with the Loyale, as it is superior (with studs) to her Yukon driving on the icy/slushy roads of our subdivision....She even showed me that she could take off the negative battery cable when she got to where she was going... As soon as she gets back I'll check that switch, I bet thats what it is! Gotta get off night shift it's making me dim:dead: Thanks much! Chris

Front "side marker lights"/ tail lights won't turn off
Hey all The front marker lights and tail lights on my 93 Loyale won't turn off with the switch or when the car is turned off:cornfuzz: Have any of you had to deal with this issue? Is there a relay between the switch and the lights? I looked at the Haynes manual, but as usual the information was lacking...Any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated! Cheers, Chris
