  1. Bigger tires is BY FAR the easiest/cheapest/fixable if you don't like the changes method. I have about 1.2" more diameter on my 2000 Outback (4.44 final drive) and it made a nice difference in my freeway RPM...
  2. I have a beat-to-heck Loyale that's eagerly awaiting a transformation like this... let's do it. Only thing is...that much tube has to be spendy! :-\ And I have no welding or tube bending skills...(or equipment) - but by the looks of your recent projects, you sure as heck do!
  3. I would definitely do this if the following things could be accomplished (pretty easy stuff) : - keep it legal for road use (throw on some LED turn signals, brake lights, etc) - Keep it highway driveable (easy) - make a flip-down windshield for off-road use - 4 seats! I would totally sacrifice a EA82 car for that if I could keep driving it on the street...
  4. Awesome. Keep up the good work. All of your fab work so far has been beautiful (especially the rack...and the whole WRX...)
  5. Anyone who's driven a MT Subaru will tell you that at 1500 RPM, these engines are turds. That's so far below the powerband, any slight hill would just bog the crap out of your motor.
  6. Is the website operational yet? I'm stoked to see lifts for my generation of car! Have you installed any of the 6" kits? I'm wondering how the suspension/steering components/axles hold up... Do you know what tire size will work on 2000-2004 Outbacks with your lifts? WOO HOO!
  7. I REALLY want to see what comes of this. It sounds like a perfect solution for my 2000 Outback project...
  8. Awesome! Welcome to the community... We all hope you enjoy your stay (which will likely be a long one if you're a Sube nut)!
  9. Ew. Give us the wagon back!!! This sedan looks so boring...like a Sentra or Corolla or something.
  10. I don't know a darn thing about trad climbing. I love sport climbing, but BOULDERING is the shiznit. I'm still new to sport climbing (been bouldering for a few years), but I'd really like to check out the routes at L-worth. Bouldering is my favorite, though. Let's bring our pads.
  11. Oooh...never been up there. All us climbers should get together and figure it out... Any other climbers out there?
  12. Will it decrease your fuel economy? Yes. Will it decrease your power? Yes. Will it suck in hot air from your engine bay, rather than cold, dense air from the atmosphere? Yes But...will it sound wicked awesome? HELL YES. (still not worth it, though. ha ha. Build a hybrid setup like the one mentioned in the NASIOC post)
  13. Let's get some climbing in at Leavenworth while we're there! This will be the closest WCSS to me thusfar!
  14. What cam setup would you recommend using in a EJ22T block/EJ25 (phase II) head HYBRID motor? Is there a regrind? (nothing wild - maybe 200-220 WHP)
  15. Wow. I didn't know he worked at Delta... And I want boost. I've got the urge to get some form of forced induction...
  16. Okay. I get the point. I trust you guys that have been around the block. How about this...in my current position (toasted heads on my 190k 2.5 block)... - What's the most RELIABLE way to push, say...250 HP at the wheels? - What's the CHEAPEST way to get to 250 wheel HP?
  17. This idea sounds great, BUT...merging the harnesses would be a bear. The wiring and intake for the 2.5 is already in the car...so I'm going to go that route.
  18. That's another issue I'd like to address: Engine management? what should I do?
  19. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. I'm a bit of a NOOB, so...ANYTHING. Even if it might not pertain to the specific things I originally asked.
