  1. I'll document as much as I can! I love what the community has done for me, so I want to give back as much as possible! The goal? Well, phase 1 is just to have the first EG-powered BH Legacy I've ever seen. The EJ25 was a turd. The extra 65 or so lb-ft of torque will help push a little more snow out of the way. Once it's on the road and moving, I'm planning to lift it and use larger tires. I'm researching those options right now (thanks for your input, Gloyale).
  2. Because there's a sweet EG33 sitting in my driveway right now. And...I feel like having SVX goodness inside.
  3. Twice as many throttle bodies...for twice as much fuel NOMming! Also : Most of the EG swaps I've found involve a manual transmission. Can anyone tell me how to make the TCU on my 4EAT talk to the SVX ECU?
  4. Here she is. The MurderWagon. We've been through a lot together. She's really been good to me. Unfortunately, due to some user error, she had some pretty catastrophic issues with the old 2.5 mill. ..which brings us to now. Here's her new heart: It came from a wrecked car with 92k miles. I've never seen any documentation of the EG33 into a 3rd-Gen Legacy before, so...I'm not sure how it will go. I'll post pics along the way. Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm keeping the 4.44 auto tranny in my car until it blows. As far as I know, it should pretty much bolt up. I'll need to have the engine harnesses merged (obviously). I'm sure there will be length-related clearance issues...radiator, fans, etc. Due to the lack of documentation of this exact swap, I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it. The tear-down of the OBW engine bay will begin soon. for now, I need to get out there and pull my new EG off the truck! Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm reasonably new to this. Thanks, guys!
  5. ...and the MurderWagon's favorite place to play - in the snow!
  6. Looks good, man! There are a few other enthusiasts from tri-cities on here. We have a bunch from Spokane, too. Welcome to the boards, homie!
  7. F Eulogious built a 4EAT DCCD knob. check that out.
  8. Good find. That sounds like a great deal. I wish I could find one of those!
  9. Beat me to it. Let's see a video. The stumbling thing and RPM jumping around indicates a timing issue.
  10. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=115902 ^^^ I think it's this car. ^^^ So...non-interference EJ22E... I agree with the timing jump. and...yeah. If you take care of this motor, I think it has quite a bit of life left. All the people saying "3xx,xxx and still going strong" are right. It's a great motor. I've seen a couple with 400k+ miles.
  11. If you can't post pics here, try uploading them to Photobucket or another hosting site so we can see them... or try to find identical ones via a google image search or something...then link it here. We gotta see em!
  12. all right - we forgive you. I've never been to the islands...it seems weird to have such a small amount of space!
  13. I'm building a fiberglass enclosure into the spare tire cavity in the back of my wagon (mine's a 2000 - I'm sure it's about the same size) to keep it super stealth (and protected from climbing/skiing/biking gear). Is that what you're thinking about doing? There's really a lot of cubic footage in there... I'm trying to figure a way to throw an amp in each storage compartment on the sides, but keeping them cool might be pretty tough...
  14. Definitely. A couple days of seat time in my OWN car, learning how to drive, PLUS come classroom time..it sounds awesome. The Dirtfish thing would just be fun for some giggles.
  15. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/dual-batterys-493384/ Check out post #5. It's a good read.
  16. That's great... I think I'll put that on my to-do list, right after the Primitive course...
  17. For rallyX purposes, you probably won't want to lift it. Just put some fresh, more dirt-ready suspension and steering bits on it. Also, I'd like to say... I HATE THAT YOU EAST-COAST PUNKS GET ALL THESE AMAZING DEALS!!!
  18. Weird...I never saw it for sale in Spokane. Dang. If I saw it for $2k, I would have totally snagged it. Those vans are so cool...
  19. That's a pretty cool rig. Some people will chastise such behavior, calling it disrespectful to the Subaru name or some babble like that, but...I think it's pretty cool - mostly because it's a pretty unique idea for a drag car. Party on, dudes.
  20. ...and we think a 140 chp EJ22 makes these cars hot rods...
  21. BTW, eulogious - you're an inspiration, man! I love the new car, I loved the old car, and I love your home-brewed (yet scientifically/mathematically sound) mods to the transmission. Keep up the good work, chap!
