  1. That sounds almost impossibly high. You could almost buy a spare OBS for that much $$$.
  2. That's the nicest hatch ever!!! I can't wait to see it finished. EJ22 + 5MT D/R, perhaps?
  3. ^ Yup. Also - nipper, I like the filthy Subaru. It looks good.
  4. Ground clearance? um...yeah. My Subaru doesn't quite match... It's pretty touch to find Detroit lockers, 4.88 gears, and 37s that fit for my Subaru...
  5. It's thoroughly possible. But as previously mentioned, serious frame fabbing will need to be done...
  6. I snapped this picture a couple months ago at REI. I was curious if any of these people were board members...and if they were noticing how awesome this was, too! Except for my dumb Loyale ruining this picture, it's a Legacy party! < Legacy/Outback banana
  7. Holy Legacys, Batman! I guess I'll add mine. Stock '00 OBW, "MurderWagon" She loves to play in snow... It's also quite the predator. Basically...my car is to whitetail deer what Mike Tyson is to Evander Holyfield.
  8. I'm looking into EM options... thanks for the advice. BTW, happy 1000th post, ballitch.
  9. Oh, man. Superu - that's EXACTLY what I've been dreaming of for my '00! That's amazing. I love all the rad protection. Would you mind shooting me some specs on that thing? Mine will be slightly different, but...if you don't mind me copying your design a little bit, I want that!
  10. superu - I love the paint scheme! Do you have more pics of that front bumper? I'm thinking about something similar for my gen 3.
  11. ...started breaking down the new EG33. IT's a friggin' mess in there...
  12. Semi-stealth? ha ha I like it. At least you'll keep stuff safe®, even if not completely hidden...
  13. I agree with Subriuse. There is a LOT of information on here...just READ, READ, READ. You'll eventually soak up quite a bit of knowledge. Welcome aboard, brother! We're glad to have ya!
  14. I really wanna see that sub install! It'll mirror my idea (basically). I just need to find the time and $$$ to start in on it!
  15. Zoinks, Scooby! I'm finding more and more messed up stuff on the EG as I dig into it. But whatever. I'm getting the motor in this car!!! (this is going to cost a fortune... ) HOWEVER, I'm going to keep a positive attitude, because...someday...I'M GONNA HAVE A FREAKING EG33-POWERED OUTBACK.:banana::banana: and... one more just for shiggles. Heck, even a too.
  16. Go find one! They're dirt cheap! Come on...you're a veteran around here. It's time.
  17. Not to stir up any more arguments, but... When the knock sensor went out on my Phase II EJ25, it ran like complete crap. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I changed the plugs/wires, then PCV valve...all the basic stuff. It threw codes off and on for "misfire on cyl #" and completely sucked while going up hills (or any high-RPM activities). Finally, it threw a "your knock sensor it dead" code. When I changed the knock sensor, it was like a brand new car again. There's no question about it. I've witnessed it firsthand.
  18. Type of Wrenching: Bloody knuckles in the dirt driveway at mignight What: Subarus, Jeep CJ, Nissan 240SX, dirtbikes (just my stuff) How long doing it: 5 years (been sucking at it for all 5) Other skills: Tile setter by trade, was certified fitness trainer, hoping to keep busy long enough to get an education - currently going to school to be a nirse (~2.5 years left).
  19. Nelson! All right...cannibus capital of southwest Canada! ha ha Nelson is only a couple hours from me.
  20. Pretty bad, eh? Our yards are usually pretty cheap. What town are you in? I'll still have to pick through the canuck yards someday...
