1991 loyle spfi iac wiring
The two wire plug to my idle air control valve ......... the ground wire was showing open . I had 11.6 volts to the positive side . so I just grounded the ground wire to the engine . now it has weird idle issues . does the ground wire go thru the ecm . . it runs better un hooked . just wont idle when cold. and starts hard . arrgggg.

My first time doing a ej22 , do I need to get the oem gasket , or will felpro perma torq ?

Possible Ignition swith failure
My 1991 loyale will discharge the battery if not run in 3 or 4 days , Alternator is good , Battery is new , and I load tested it , Did a specific gravity test, all cells good . I remember hearing about the ignition switch going bad and doing all sorts of weird things. Any help would be appreciated .

1998 forester , blower only works on high , I see a pic of the resistor , but I cant find where it is on the car ? is it in the same spot as the older gl/ loyale .

Oil pump reseal / no pressure
REPLACED THE SENDING UNIT / GETTING A READING AT THE GUAGE . LET IT RUN FOR 15 MINITS , FINALLY THE LIFTERS QUIETED DOWN . NEVER HAD AN EA82 TAKE THAT LONG TO QUIET DOWN . ALL IS WELL FOR NOW . THANKS EVERYBODY...

My next step is to use a test gauge to verify the oil pressure . I was just paranoid and didn't want to do any damage im sure I am over thinking it. it did seem to shoot out a lot of oil from the sending unit hole

its was just under half on the gauge when cold , the lifters don't pump up , I have only ran it for 30 seconds so far , but usally they stop clattering by then .

93 loyale fwd inner tie rods.
I just used 2 adjustable wrenches . I think the flats on the inner rod is 19 mm ,

Just did a reseal on a ea82 , now I have no oil pressure . there is oil volume . I took out the sending unit and ran it for a couple of seconds . oil everywhere . I have done several of these with no problem . is there a pressure relief check ball that may have fallen out ?

What head gasket to use?
Fell pro Perma torq , no need for warming up and re torqueing . follow the three torque sequences , then add a final step using 50 ft lbs . felpro part number 9392pt

There is an anti dieseling solenoid that could be causing idle problems .

CYLINDER HEAD CRACKS
This attached pic highlighted spot appears to show the valve seat cracked as well. I will still disassemble it and check further . This 1991 loyale ea82 spfi engine was cruising at 55 mph and started shooting out steam coolant and oil . no water in the oil pan . immediately shut down. no overheat . I suspect the head is cracked to the coolant passage .

wow 90 dollars for a bearing . rock auto has them (National) 10.87 + shipping , Timken 40.79 , Beck /Arnley 40.79 .

1986 gl 4 inch lift strut problems
I think the combination of heavier tires , bad roads, bad springs , no rubber snubbers , and crazy teen drivers . caused them to prematurely fail . thanks everyone for the reply's..

should I install the rubber bumper ? I would think with new heavier springs it would not bottom out.
