  3. Rode trip, i think the north west has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, im looking at a vacation there in the spring, your lucky to look at mountains and awsome trees every day... Gods country

  7. is there an easy fix for a loose disty rotor screw, maby the next size american machine screw thred size , maby 10-32, i dont have another disty, and the screw wont tighten very much ..... arrggg , i stole a 1991 loyale sedan for 100 bucks. owner thaught it pooped the engine. sweet , just a disty screw.., yippie. except its 2wd. oh well good summer beetin car, runs good
  8. OOPs EA82 my bad,. I know "want some Cheese to go with that whine " they are dissipering just like the vw beetle, when i was 20, years ago
  9. hey what gives , i found a craigs listing for an EA82 loyale north of detroit, and less than 4 hours its gone, the first one i found in 6 months, $450.00 bucks. whoever you are your quick. arrggg, congrats. any leads in detroit area would be appreciated. as i need some valuable front sheetmetal , my old 86 gl tried to eat a deer , but choked on it
  10. are you sure the timing belts are correct, one tooth off can cause similar results. i have never had a turbo engine so i cant help you out in the fuel injetion, there multi port injection arnt they ?
  11. get an old windshield washer resevoir fill it with oil and every so often pump some oil into her, run it til she dies
  12. Vaccuume leaks can mess you up too, loose or worn throttle plate bushings ?/ if you cant get it to idle down than its probably a vac leak, i had one subie that the carburator kept coming loose on , also check the screws on top of the carb, the ones that hold it together
  13. most of the ticking problem is from short starting your engine, ie: running it for a 1/2 mile to maby 4 or 5 miles, then shutting it off. never really warming the engine compleatly. day after day, water condenses in the warm engine and never evaporates , i use detergent additives all the time, but nothing will stop the water vapor from forming in the engine, except a proper warm up, atleast 10 miles at hiway speed, a fresh oil change or a long hiway trip always quiets my old loyale. just like a woman, get her hot once in a while and she'll shut up..
  14. i have a auto 3 speed , the diff is bad , but the auto section worked good, ill pull it and see how it looks
  15. Look underneith, check for rust on the suspention mount, the channel where the front suspention mounts, to the control arms
  16. my loyale does the same thing. when its cold outside, if its above 40 degrees outside it runs perfect. weird. i havnt found the problem yet
  17. Id love to do that too but his' cost so much, there coming down in price now cause the chinese are cranking them out, they are awsome though
  18. Michigan Rocks !!!!!!!!! wish i had more time , id come down and help ya, i havnt even seen a brat in Michigan in years, i kinda forgot what they look like Good luck man Smashedwagon88 i have to drive a ford now for a few days
  19. in the early 1980's i was able to buy my first car.. a 1965 vw beetle, i took it all apart and made it into a baha style of road machine, i purchased it for 50 bucks, in the next 10 years i purchased about 7 more cheap $50 to $350 dollars, now the same cars today would be $1500 to $4000 dollars. i can already see the supply of gl's and loyal's dissapearing in these parts, i havnt seen a local sube for sale here in a year or so. i usally buy any subie within 100 miles if there reasonabley priced ,running or not . im up to 2 sedans, and 3 wagons. id buy 1 a week if i could find them , im planning a trip to washington state, hopfully i can get a rust free body, dont even care if it runs, and dollying it home, another treasure for my wife to look at
  20. omg the one and only caro . we have state poliece ,tuscola county sherrif ,and the local caro cops. , they love pulling over cars for lights , i got pulled and ticketed for no licence plate light. i was wonmdering if they were going to get me, but i planed to get it fixed in a few days anyway, so they would have to desmiss it
