Age Old Question
I have been driving GL /Loyale cars for 15 years now , now I qualify for " classic car plates" I like the simplicity and I like the look. the supply is drying up now for these cars . maybe in the PNY you see a lot of ea82 cars on the road . but here they're rare to see . I never see a brat , even in junkyards , I have seen 2 loyales in 5 years . I'm an antique now as well and I don't need to go fast . its not the size of the engine it how you drive it.

The good the bad and the ugly
these three wheel bearings were in different stages of failure . wow what a difference in driveability . they fail slowly over time , and you dont relise there getting bad ,. should have replaced them sooner.

new cv axle shaft vrs reman
I am running out of good used CV shafts , I have been taking apart shafts from automatics and rebooting . etc . I'm all out of good used parts.. . I see Advance auto has advertised "new" shafts for sale .79.95 . no core charges. I wonder if there any good vrs the crappy rebuilds of the same price . my poor Subaru eats drive shafts for lunch and defecates wheel bearings .

front calipers
I ended up re sealing the hydraulic side , the piston had rust on one end preventing it from fully collapsing , I caught hell putting back the lever side, best advise ..if it moves and the boot isn't torn DON'T TAKE APART THE E BRAKE SIDE . I took some pics so maybe ill do another one and write down the steps . is wasn't that hard to do , i figured a good way to put the ebrake side together.

front calipers
Has anyone done a pictorial write up for rebuilding front calipers on an ea82 ???

1986 GL Heater Blower Issues
there are 4 wires going to the relay , one set is the coil. the other two are for the contacts or load , it is possible for the relay to click and the relay not work. the contacts could be burned , you may even get continuity with a volt meter, but when you try to pull a load thru them it will not work. . try bypassing the relay with a jumper.

charging system help
sounds like your internal voltage regulator is failing , check for AC voltage , if you have ac voltage , replace the alternator .

Blower motor issues, 1993 Loyale wagon
I would agree the most likely culprit is the relay, they are not the best relays in the world, search for Jesek ,s write up its very good , he replaces the round relay with 30 amp bosh relays. there a pain to access , about 5 inches above the fuse box , there round metal things , 4 of them . I cant remember which relay is the blower. 1 is left headlight one is right head light one is blower , and i cant remember the 4th.

'94 Loyale wagon - not getting brake pressure?
I was going the "hill holder route" but since its an auto it dosnt have that pluming , if there is no fluid leak i would suspect the master cylinder is loosing pressure around the seals

Can't Idle When Cold
if you apply 12 volts to the iac valve you should hear a distinct click as the solenoid coil opens the valve . there pretty durable, the most likely cause of failure is corroded or broken wires going to the solenoid itself. and the TPS does have an adjustment , its mounting holes are slotted , but putting it in the middle should be fine , it takes some movement before it begins to react to your ohm meter . I think the slots are designed to adjust the sensor so it doesn't cause the throttle plates to stay open . Im going thru the same thing , hang in there , you will find it.
