  1. Lol, yeah I've noticed this. I'm giving it hell, and the cars behind me (Buick LeSaber) is still on my hatch lol. At least it sounds good
  2. I pretty much mounted my rack the same as you did. Perhaps the motor is getting tired. Although, I've noticed, even with 200,000+ miles, Subaru motors wear very well. I've seen the piston walls still have the original hone marks.
  3. Sealed up the header flanges with RTV, sounds so much better. I made a few parts runs in the Subaru tonight cause O'reilly's Ford Rangers are junk lol. My temp gauge is running cool, why? It used to work just fine before I pulled the motor out, not its below half when at running temp. Possible failing sending unit?
  4. I dunno how yours can be so bad on the freeway? Mine has 27s, rack, lights, tire, and a 3AT! I can get up to 55-60 real easy. Hmm
  5. Thats because nobody works on new chryslers. Its like going on the Focus forum, really pointless. I couldn't find any good info on diagnosis (Glad it wasn't my car!) Its kinda amazing that a car this new has wiring issues!? How did this happen?
  6. This glove box lid has a different handle than mine, WHY! I like this lever style more than the turn release style.
  7. Sounds like its time for a Motor swap! 3UZ-FE it!
  8. Covered in mud! Because racecar
  9. Solid rear axle subie! LOL. JesZek has seen an EA82 with Toyota axle under the rear in his country. Lol funny! Dunno about a V8 in the old Celica 2JZ that shiz! Keep it Japanese muscle, Toyota V8! Drove the GL to work today, wow, no slipping clutch! I can do pulls in 3rd! Its actually faster than I thought this car was, it pulls hard in 3rd from 35-55 (About 6secs) shift into 4th and carry it to 75mp! Wanted to go faster but the 5-0 were stalking the area. I need to fix my exhaust leaks. Didn't use gaskets on the header flanges cause I'm fawkin' lazy. I'll just goop it up with RTV (Its only temp until I build the rear exhaust)
  10. I kinda want to go this route with the GL, but that would also require dropping in a new driveline so its actually fast. Damn this Celica looks good. Japanese muscle car?
  11. Wow, those looks really nice in there.
  12. Oh well. Its possible someone pealed it off in the 30 years the car has been around We need more pictures of this thing!!!!!!
  13. Glad to see Bennie got that grille I sent him. Looks great on there chap!
  14. I just ordered a Temp sender from Rockauto. $7.94 shipped via First Class! Perhaps this will be the correct part (It still has the single Spade tab) These threads are becoming a mess, Talking about another Subaru, in a Subaru build thread, which has its own build thread! Perhaps I need to make a build thread about how to make a build thread. Or a thread about how to have a 1,000 post thread about a car you don't even own yet. (Check out the first page of this thread if you don't understand my last comment)
  15. Mick, OH! Is that what the issue is..? Yep, you did send me a box of those, I put a new one in the GL so the Fan would work. But yes, the Loyale needs the one for the Gauge which screws into the intake. The problem is when I look up "Temp Sender/Sensor" it always brings up the $100 two wire one which goes elsewhere on the Intake, and does not control the gauge. Kenny, those lights are the same ones. I just made them Amber As these will soon be wired as Marker Lights/Turn signals, so I won't have to add lights to the bumper (1980-82 bumper) As for the dealer, I was given the wrong parts a few times at my dealer. Since they can't run the vin on the 1983, they have to manually look it up (I guess its hard for the mentally compromised who work at the Dodge/Jeep/Subaru dealer) Haha!
  16. You must be a lucky man..! Hell, I ordered a Borg Warner Coolant temp switch from the Hub location for O'reillys, Hub driver dropped it off a few hours later, I looked at it and and its like 3x the size of the original, it won't even screw into the port on the intake (Its like an M20!) So, I'll write up a return invoice tomorrow and maybe go order one at Subaru.
  17. Yay!
  18. Jon, thank you for drawing this up! I printed it out nice and clear, gonna check around for some type of Machine shops in Waukesha, Could a Mill cut this, or will it have to be CNC'ed?
  19. It varies per year and model (Combi, Saloon, Coupe' ect..) It will be a little metallic sticker with two or three numbers on it, sometimes on the front Radiator support, Door jam, Strut tower. Like this
  20. Got the steering wheel I ordered, today! Wow, it looks and feels really nice.
  21. Winter fix!
  22. The Ski wagon may no longer be the ski wagon after seeing this. I am in love with this color (Thanks Kiwi) I just need the color code. Next year when the car goes for paint, it may become this gray color instead of Porcelain White.
  23. Splendid, Very good sir! Could you please post the Color code for me!?
