  1. I would love to see pics of other 6" brats, Adam's is the only one I have seen.( and I KNOW how well his works, hard to keep up with!) I liked the "monster wagon" too, but that's more lift than I will ever run on my oun car. If any of U have pics of big lifts (6" or more) post 'em I'd love to see 'em.
  2. Man that was fun!!!! I just got all my pic.s from the trip put up in my Photo Al. in the gallery. (they are in soobme's pics if U want to see 'em) We gota go agen when it gets MUDDY:headbang: And I would just like to say" NO lift, 27"s, and I kept up with every one!" Subarus ROCK:headbang:
  3. Dam I'm good:cool: So are they Suby coil-overs or are they off somthin' @ the yard?
  4. If it's got a good towing cap. I could get rid of my Suburban and go ALL SUBARU at last!
  5. I would go with 175 or 185/75R13's, snow tires without the studs. They work good on wet roads, and they will work good on the gravel roads too.
  6. Hey Adam, am I crazy, or do I see coil-overs on the back?!? I see U went with a front mount fan, sorry the ones I had wouldn't work for ya on the back:( ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!!!
  7. Well, Snowman, the guard is all made with 1" x 1" x 3/16" tube that was cut on a 10" miter saw using a cut-off wheel. I used the angle of the headlights to mach the up rights to. then I used 1/8" expanded metal for the grills. The bumper is 4"x2"x3/16" tube cut in the center @ a 5* angle and noched to fit arownd the 2" recever and then welded into 1 pice. I used 4"x1/4" plate to cap the ends.
  8. I did it now! There is no going back for me:D I went out this morning and WELDED my rear dif. I ended up doing it just like your's Adam, we will now see if I am as good a welder as U;) Can't wait to go wheel it now:banana: Still don't know if I will get that front shaft changed out BEFORE the trip yet:rolleyes:
  9. Brain, did U find out for sure if U got the time off for the trip yet? I'd hate to think of going with out U:(
  10. U can go to my web site and check out the one I made for my EA82T wagon. It didn't turn out to bad;)
  11. GLAD TO HEAR IT'S UP AND RUNING!!! I will come over tomorow(Fri.) and shoot some pic.s for ya if U R going to be home:headbang: I am puting the finishing touches on my new roof rack today befor work, I should be done with it by 11:00AM or so tomorow.
  12. What would be much eazyer, and poss. more to your liking. Why not have someone build U a: VW bug pan( U can even get 'glass pan halfs if U want), with a 'glass dune buggy body, powerd by an EA81T or EA82T. It would be RWD, wich with that set up is almost as good as 4WD. Would have Subaru power, and replacment parts should be VERY eazy to come by. U could even have it built with long travel suspention if U want. There are even more 'glass bodys on the market now than there wer 3 or 4 years ago. And Kennedy makes the adaptor to mount the engine on the VW trans.
  13. I'd pay $20 if U want to part with it:D
  14. Yup, as close to the center of your rig as U can get. and as high up as U can get. U will need an SWR meeter to tune the antana to the radio, any CB shop can do it for ya( a lot of truck stops too) and they usaly don't charge more than $10. Check with any friends that play with CB's and see if they have an SWR meeter. I sold mine years ago:(
  15. OK, got a Cobra hand held coming in the mail. So I will be CBized by the time we go:cool: I HOPE U GUYS ARE HAPPY! :moon: LOL I gess it was time any way, I still go out with some guys in the winter that use CB insted of FRS.
  16. OK OK fine! I'll go back to the dark ages and put in a CB! LOL:-p I think I still have a 104" whip in the rafters in the garage some where:-) That's the only antana I will use with a CB;) . Gess I'm off to go CB shoping now. C-Ya!
  17. Good map. I have wanted to some wheeling out in that area for a while now. Do U have any FRS raidos, or do I need to get a CB and put it in? How bout Brian, CB or FRS?
  18. Nice work! That looks like it will flow even more than the one I made:eek: U will love the diferance in power:brow:
  19. 12" wheels are the bigest I can find, I don't think they would clear my calipers front and rear:banghead: They sure do have some kick rump roast tires for 'em! 27" Swamper Vampires!
  20. I know that National Tire&Wheel sells monster tires and wheels for ATV's. I'm thinking of this for a good set of sand tires and wheels. I think I will go check out there site and see what I can find out.
  21. I'm the one that looked into this last year;) The weight of them is not that big a deal, and at that time they said that they could make me a set of the "little foot" ATV traks with bigger tracks on them & the Subaru lug patern. They give U a 20% gear reduction when U bolt them on due to the drive sporcket being so much smaller than even the little 13" stock tires. So gearing/power is not an issue.( and if U have a DR5spd that would make it even better) Price is the big problem$$$$$$$$$$ BUT, if U can pony up the cash U would have one unstopable Sube! I need to know more about the ATV wheel on a soob, vice verca thing. I will start a new thred.
  22. Well the problem is back, and regular now. Every time I get on the boost for more than a second or two, I start blowing blue smoke. It is so thick that it trys to foul out my plugs:eek: Could it be that the turbo is making enough draw on the intake hose ( where I have my pasenger side engine vent hose going to ) that it is SUCKING oil into the turbo/ intake? As I type this it makes sence!! It has not done this for the last 2 days, but this morning I checked my oil and I was 1qt low. I put a quart in, and BLAMO!! I have the oil burn problem agen. It's got to be the case vent going into the intake hose BEFORE the turbo, the vacume line wasent the one with oil in it, it was the intake spiting oil out hte vac. line port under hard boost!
  23. Yes, it's nice to have a trick up your sleeve when U don't know the trail. But if U know what U are geting into before hand U know what presure U sould be using.
  24. I don't know what presure the sys. is suposto run at. And I didn't know if the fule pump would just crap out all together, or if presure would start to fall of 1st.
