  1. Well thanks for not getting to carried away Brian. Hmm i just tried it and the pic came up. Maybe its your computer Caleb:-p
  2. cool so I gotta call him about two things now...
  3. I recently got a 3 gauge a-pillar pod from a guy over on NASIOC for 20 bucks shipped. My goal was to modify it to fit into the RX since I need something to hold all of my wonderful gauges in a nice visible spot. Well it took me about a half hour, a hacksaw, and a file and I got it mounted all nicely in the car. Almost looks like it came this way from Autometer! http://community.webshots.com/photo/302403464/310448772MeSsZX What do y'all think? Yes I know, the dash is still torn apart because I'm still trying to get the rest of the wiring from the automatic out of there:rolleyes:
  4. Ooo ME ME ME ME!!! I need one to cool that Mobil 1 synthetic I'm gonna be running:D
  5. sounds like its time to rebuild the front end of the car. PM me for some details on how to save money and put better brakes/balljoints/control arms in the front
  6. the ones in my wagon sucked as well. I had like a half of a line heat up. Never had any problems with my Brat though;) Oh wait it has no defroster!
  7. I need a sticker like that LOL
  8. so just spray that stuff into the bottom end of the motor to clean it out? Would that effect the bottom end in any way?
  9. My girlfriend and her family just left this morning to go back to Pennsylvania because a family member is dying of cancer. Now I need some help because I want to make sure they don't get caught in another storm like they did the same time last year. They're going to be heading from Wyoming to Pennsylvania and be passing through these states... Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana. So basically if some bad weather comes within the next couple weeks, PLEASE post it so I can let her know before they get stuck in Iowa again
  10. so the motor I pulled from my RX has about 208k on it. Its been pretty abused in its lifetime but now its time to get her going good once again. So I pulled the engine what seems like years ago (actually a couple months) and when I pulled the oil pan off, it had a lot of sludge build up inside of it. Its also got some on the pickup screen for the oil pump which I can't get off as well. So how do I go along and clean this crap out of my motor? I decided that this motor is going to go back into the car and my other one will be the one that gets built to hell and back. I don't have any speciality tools to pull the block apart and stuff like that. Just looking for the best way to do it with the shortblock still together...
  11. Yes, check to see if you have any oil leaks. Main places to check are the valve covers, oil pan, oil pump, front/rear crank seal and cam seals. Funny thing is my RX never had the TOD when it ran. It was abused pretty badly and had some oil leaks but no TOD...
  12. I got a TD04 you can "borrow" for awhile:-p Maybe when it comes back to me, it'll look similar:D I need to get me another dremel since my dad has mine now. Make TD04 nice and shiny:D
  13. I ran my '78 Brat in RWD for about 4 months or so. Handled it just fine and it made for the awesome burnouts. I'm picking up an XT6 with the AWD 5MT in it. If you want it, come and get it plus like 50 bucks...
  14. dude, I got an RX tranny from an '85. Part time 4wd dual range turbo tranny if you need it. I don't since I was able to get the full time for my RX. Lemme know, its just sittin there. If ya want, I live over on Ord street just east of the elementary school:D
  15. are you looking at getting an RX bodykit for it or some other aftermarket bodykit? The RX bodykit is an easy fit BUT the back 3 pieces have to be modified to fit. You'd end up only using 2 of the 3 pieces that go around the rear bumper since the 3-door and the wagon rearends are different. The rest is pretty easy. Self tapping sheet metal screws work great for the sideskirts and the fron airdam would have to have 6 holes (3 in each fender) drilled to bolt on unless you can find stock RX fenders with the holes drilled from the factory. As for aftermarket.... well there IS no aftermarket from what we have found.... yet...
  16. Sweet82 has built that same buggy. Its friggin pimp. Granted, it doesn't have the best ground clearance in the front but I bet it turns better then any lifted soob... He was turning it on a sidewalk corner with ease!
  17. Plasma baby... I'm going to be donating twice every seven days and in a month, I'll make an extra 200 bucks. Oh and I'm going to be working both of my days off next week and so then I will buy me a TWE header for the RX... MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
  18. DUDE!!! Where in Laramie are you livin at? Me (Russell) and Andrew (Hondasucks) live here and he's currently going to school and I'm waiting for my finacial aid crap to come out so I can start. Gimme a ring sometime 307-742-3587... I work at nights at Wally World so I sleep during the day. My days off are Tuesday and Wednseday...
  19. I like the August idea but I won't have a lot of money to travel since in July, I'm going back to WCSS7 and to visit my family. I like the sound of Nebraska...
  20. SHOCK DYNO SHOCK DYNO SHOCK DYNO SHOCK DYNO SHOCK DYNO yeah it IS pretty cool to say:drunk:
  21. well if it was your tranny, you'd see signs of wear in the gear oil and maybe some metal shavings on the dipstick if it had something to do with it breaking a syncro or something. I doubt highly its the tranny. It sounds a lot like the exhaust having some issues like yes, the honeycomb in the cat coming loose. I know the Legacy Andrew had, had a bad resonator in it so it had a bad rattling sound to it as well...
  22. I was thinking about making a set of flares for my RX once its on the road again so it won't be for a little while.
  23. meh just pull it off and leave it off. Then grab a grinder and take the driprails off and then weld up the seam, smooth it out, primer it and VOILA shaved driprails:drunk:
  24. So you're not gonna bastardize the RX then since you have to drive it? WOOHOO!!! Why don't you drop a mock-up motor into the wagon and make a setup work on that instead of trying to make it work on the car you drive everyday?
