any one got a welder i can use?
that might work out. i still need to find something this weekend if possible since i wanted to get the floor done before i go in for chemo on tuesday. i think what bothers me soo much about hte welder crapping out is that i am soo close to getting hte floor done. im thinking that if i had a good welder, i might actually be done by now since the time i had to spend to redo sections could have been used to do other sections. eh, its whatever i guess. all in all, its nothing more than a learning expiriance.

15" Alloy Pugs - Questions (1987 Brat)
the 15" pugs with 205/50/15 tires actually looks pretty cool. granted, i havent had a chance to drive my brat with that set up yet, but it looks pretty good. i had the pugs on my rx before i parted with it, and they are definatly not the same offset. they will stick out about an inch in the front and should come flush with the fender in the rear. they might rub a bit inth rear if you dont roll the fenders, i know mine did on the rx anytime i had a rear passenger or took a large bump at speed or a very tight turn. but then again, i beat the hell out of my rx on the mountain roads. as far as handling, i think that might really depend on the tires you run. i am running nitto nt450 tires on mine and they seem to do really well all year round, dry, wet, snow, gravel, ect... that and they are a good sporty high speed rated tire that is inexpinsive and seem to last a while.

any one got a welder i can use?
i now realize why not to buy cheap welders, mine after a year of inconsistant welding crapped out on me, again, tonight. its died on me before, but this time didnt come back on after i reset the power. on top of that, it will not feed the wire smoothly, at all. not even enough to do a spot weld on 20ga sheet metal. really sucks cause if it were working, i could actually get some real progress before tuesday when i have to go back in for chemo again. i guess what i am getting at, i need a welder to use for a few days. does anyone have a mig welder that i can use for a few days? i am soo close to getting the floor of my brat done, im thinking that if i had a good welder, i might actually finish the floor by monday. if anyone can help me, please let me know. i cant really offer much in return right now, but ill break ot the grill and cook out if thats ok. thanks in advance peace tim c

Pennsylvania Brat folks....interested in a little job?
what kind of body work is needed? and how bad is it i guess i should be asking.

MAF Adapter
i doubt that you would find any gains with another muffler from a gl-10. if im not mistaken, they used the same muffler between all the car, turbo or not. you would be better off with an aftermarket muffler if you are looking for any kind of power gain, but there is only so much one can gain from exhaust in a non turbo car.

A new Brat Owner - with pics
nice score. i finally got a brat at the begining of summer, but mine is definatly a project. ive nearly finished patching the drivers side floor and have started on te passenger side now. i highly reccomend shecking under the carpets, mainly around the corners of the cab and at the point in the foot weels where the floor pan meets the firewall. that seems to be where mine got the worst of the rust.

get a mistubishi starion intercooler, fits rather well behind the grill but youll have to rock out hood pins cause the hood latch will be in the way.

Holy Grail of EA82 rear shocks found!
hmmmm, would you happen to have a pic of the stock legacy top mounts? i need to get to the point where i can get ahold of these parts and start figuring things out.
-
Holy Grail of EA82 rear shocks found!
holy crap, he's alive!!! on a side note, looking at the first pic in the thread, the legacy shocks look like the mounting points might be an inch shorter than the stock ea82 shock. am i right or is it jus the angle of the pic?

WonderBrumby II Performance videos
it would be nice if i had access to better condition cars, granted, i am away from salt air, they still salt the roads here in winter. but for $350, i couldnt pass up this brat, i have been after one for years now and havent seen very many good condition brats that were at a reasonable price. thankfully, i have a lot of free time on my hands and nothing much for entertainment in my area. it really makes commiting to a restoration a bit easier, granted, that is undermined by my lack of income:dead: . eh, either way, i am almost dont welding up the driverside floor pan and have cut out most of the rust on the passengerside. once i get the floors done, i am going to get the rockers in and at least tacked up(my welder is crap) and then ill have a shop finish weld the rocker patches so that it at least looks halfway descent. only thing left after that is a few small spots around the outside, like the rear fender and a sopt under the rear bumper from a shoddy rear end collision repair. oh yeah, and there are a few small bits on th frame rail looking bits behind the front wheels that need attention. once i get the rust repair done, ill be looking at swapping in a 5spd full time 4wd d/r tranny and limited slip rear from a turbo car and then attempting a 5 lug swap on it as well. once thats out of the way, i am going to rebuild the engine with high performance bits. needless to say, i need to get a job before i get into the engine stuffs. gotta finish chemo before i can get into anything other than the rust repair. it shold be fun once i get it back on the road. keep up the good work with yours man, i definatly like that brumby.
