It happened Again.Road Rage not my own...
I'd give him a brake check if I didn't care about the baja so much...I could see him totaling it and me losing my a$$ because i owe too much on it or something....either that or he will hit and run and not have ins. either. The guy drives an early 90's sable and it is pretty rough looking (guardrail swipe and all) and so is he...

It happened Again.Road Rage not my own...
I have a 7 mile drive to work and he is usually behind me for about 4 of it. The problem is that he is BEHIND me and I can never get his plate #. The time he hit the guardrail he didn't even stop to look at his car....he just kept going and really got close at the next redlight.

It happened Again.Road Rage not my own...
dude i totally feel for ya....I have almost been rearended in my baja BY THE SAME PERSON on average of about 3 days a week and 3 instances per day for about the last 2 weeks or so. One morning he even crossed the center line and side swiped the guardrail while following me. One day him and I are going to have a little chat...the outcome isn't going to be too good for him either.

Weight loss plan
one thing I might add having driven NKX's car: let the door panels on. I like to have an arm rest and those doors are full of sharp little things. If you are tracking it I would remove all the carpet but if it is for driving on the street then i personally would let the front carpet in and take all of it out behind the front seats. If it has auto belts scrap that and get a good 5 pt harness. What about removing all the guts of the rear 2 doors and welding them shut? more rigidity and less weight inside the doors. Also, if you are going to be the only one in the car then just go with one seat only and not a pair up front. Relocate the battery to the rear or behind the front seats on the floor (in a battery box) and if you want to go really crazy....5 gal fuel cell.

subeman90 replied to quailman's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXthere is a writeup over on www.nasioc.com if you scroll to the bottem and go to the baja forum you can do a search and there is a good read on how to do it there (I would know since I asked the same question over there) Good luck and yes......it is very annoying

It Passed
You know what really sucks....i remember stripping a blue dash (ea 71 style) at pauls old place and trashing it. Damn shame some of those great parts got trashed. :-\ +1 for the emissions. I am getting my 83 inspected and emissioned on friday for the last time. Next year i will let it lapse over the winter and in Jan of 08 i qualify for antique plates too! Ohhhh and by the way....nice brat and very cool factory clock too ( I had the factory clock in my 79 wagon)

Differences in 82 DL & GL models
dl's have only 2 headlights and gl's have 4 headlights. I think the older dl's (maybe the 82's) only have the 1600 where the gl has an 1800.

vin cut key problem with my legacy.
subeman90 replied to subie94's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX^^^^ Bingo! i bet they made you a copy at the dealer of the "valet" key and not the "normal" key. The valet key has only certain doors it will open etc.

Power lock key fob on 35th Anniversary
subeman90 replied to telemachus's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXmost likely it was not given to them (the dealer). Buy one on ebay and follow the instructions in the owners manual and program it yourself so you can use it. The remote you want to buy is square with 2 buttons on it that are NOT the same size. The buttons can either be orange and blue or both are grey. Look on ebay and you'll see some.

Trailer Wiring for 1995 Legacy
subeman90 replied to Bombadil's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXbest I can say is get in the cargo area and follow the wires for the tail lights. If you are good with a current tester and can get the universal harness at walmart etc. it is absolutely no problem. If you don't have a current tester (it is the one that lights up when there is current...not the one with the needle that moves back and forth) either get one or take it somewhere to have it done for you. Maybe if you called your local dealer they might have one that just connects into the cars harness but back when I did this to my 90 legacy they didn't have a harness for them back then.
