  1. Class act as always.... for anyone who has never seen this car in person it is the nicest and cleanest 90-94 legacy i have ever seen! As always Josh...great work! Matt
  2. Give me a few days to try to get the camera to interface with the comp. When I bought the camera it was before XP existed so..... but as soon as I get pics you will be the first to know... Matt
  3. Welcome to the board. Is Condrin still a franchised dealer? I used to go by there alot back in the day. I was a local to your area at one time.... I lived in Everett (bedford county) Once again welcome and get ready for the questions...... Matt
  4. did this years ago with a 90 legacy...just not as far. If I am correct the 4x6 isn't as high as the 4x8. whichever is closest to the height of the legacy works best (aerodynamics). Fill the tires on the trl. to max pressure (tells you on the trl.) Make sure you load the trl. right too. Too much tounge weight is bad and not enough is OH MY GOD!!!! this thing is all over the place. As for the clutch...let it go and drive gently...don't lug the engine (too low of RPM's) and no agressive shifting. You would be very surprised what a legacy can tow and how fast it can do it. I had a vehicle on a dolly once that all in all was about 4000 LBS. behind mine. My buddy called it "the little suby that could" Also, I towed a VW beetle on a tow bar behind mine at 75 on the highway (I know not smart...) but it did it and it did it well is what i am saying. And most importantly remember that stops are longer and turns must be taken wider. Good luck, Matt
  5. Like the saying goes....money talks.... It is going to ebay sooner or later but if you want it. Heck if you want the 3.8 i'll make you a banging deal on that too. talk to me... Matt
  6. I have the adaptor from the 3.8 and it was made with a bunch of holes in it to fit various engines....was just looking for a little cheaper route to go(reuse maybe if it fits)....heck I would never make one...I don't have the tools for that. BTW, snot is your kit a kennedy kit or is it a different manuf.? My kit is from a company called Vango. It fits any GMengine 2.04cyl to 3.8 6-cyl and ford 4cly engines. Matt
  7. I need to see some pics of the back of a 2.2 engine and some pics of the back of the crank with the flywheel off. If anyone can give me some measurements of the holes that would be cool too. This is for my vanagon project....today (sat.) the 3.8 that is in my sig. got removed for a much better engine to go there. thanks in advance, Matt
  8. nope. sold vehicle before I got to put it in. If you find out let me know. Matt
  9. I was told you can buy that harness from the dealer (parts man at becker in allentown said so)...I have the same thing as you do. (subaru sub from ebay that has 1 end cut off) Matt
  10. DRL= no dash lights. I see people a lot that forget the headlights in the dark of the night....sometimes it is due to location (well lit convience store, city lights, etc.) Heck I bet some people have burnt out dashes too but still come on? On a side note....the only car I have ever seen with a rear light on with the DRL's is a pontiac sunfire. On these cars they light up the word Pontiac but that is it. Not enough in my opinion. Matt
  11. if this OB doesn't work out for you let me know....I might have an impreza that you might like to have....if interested..... Matt
  12. got one...talk to me.... subeman@aol.com Matt
  13. I understand what you are saying...I really do but I almost rearended a guy the other day in the fog....guess what he had his DRL on and was too stupid to realize that DRL= no tail lamps. DRL's don't make people smarter or for that matter safer it just makes them more visible....trust me there is a big difference. i have nothing against people who like the DRL's. heck my own wife won't let me undo them in the Forester but that is fine I don't really drive it anyhow. And like the person who started the topic said...sometimes you don't want to be seen (cops, PI's, etc.) Matt
  14. did this to my old 02 OB. There might be an article in the archives but if not I can give it to you really quick..... look under dash on the steering column there are 2 relay boxes. one is a black box with a white? plug and the other is black with black. Unplug the black with black. If it is the wrong one you'll know it because the headlight function is not right. If you need anymore guidence let me know.... As for all the pro DRL people....life is about choices so chill out. Sometimes you need to be not seen or not easily noticed.... Matt
  15. for $500 you really can't go wrong. I had an XT when I was 17 and it served me quite well. Women always liked the funky dash (digital) and the fact that it smoked hondas and vw's. If your folks give you any crap about it tell them it is very versitle too....you wouldn't believe all the crap I could get into mine with the back seat down (college). Just watch your speed too....my biggest ticket came in one. 93 in a 55 that won't impress the folks....sure as heck made mine mad as heck. Matt
  16. got the new forester and love it... better than my old forester and the quality seems better than my old OB too. Matt
  17. get a lightened/underdrive crank pulley and get the subaru "free flowing muffler" for it or go to a muffler shop and have something custom made. Give it time...I'm sure that there will be some aftermarket stuff eventually for it. Matt
  18. 2 dudes at work (brothers) are doing a cuda of that same vintage. The have it painted and they have a complete 360 chrysler crate engine in it and an LSD for the rear ect. but they haven't worked on it in a while. Sure will be sweet when it goes on its own.... Sometimes you just got to move the old projects out and get a new one.... Matt
  19. Correction: 4. screw in NEW one OOPS!!!! my bad.. you guys try getting all technical at 6 somethig in the morning... I think that maybe slight warmth in the exhaust is good but too hot and you can mess up threads on it can't ya???? Correct me if I am wrong.... Matt
  20. installing O2 sensors is a lot like putting in sparkplugs except that you can't use a socket wrench (due to the wire) so it really isn't a big deal to do. 1. unhook the wire for the old one 2. unscrew it (sounds easy but can be in a stupid place or really tight) 3. take new one and put anti-sieze on threads 4. screw in new one 5. plug wire in to connector. 6.maybe reset computer (unhook neg. bat cable and let for an hour) Might be better to start with this step anyhow. slightly off topic: i did this to the mercury in my sig. and it took me 15 min. helpful tip: do this when the engine is dead cold hope this helps.... Matt
  21. I would have concern about kinks or cracks in the exhaust system.....If the ins. company is paying demand a new exhaust system front to rear (100% complete) and don't forget the O2 sensors too! Matt
  22. my 2k forester (traded in dec.) always got about 22-24 in town and about 26-29 on the highway and it was an automatic. It had about 75k on it when we got rid of it...maybe it was more seasoned (broke in engine)? Try the O2 sensor though...my impreza is a little funky and that is the first thing I am going after as soon as I can... Matt
