  1. hey slegacy where in PA are you? If you are in the neightborhood of lancaster Co. i could hook you up with my garage man. I'm sure whe would tackle the project.... If not in your price range I bet he could atleast hook you up with an autobox. Let me know if I can help. Matt
  2. Here is my take on this....There is a guy in W PA that was a soob shop...and everytime he has a car with some lower body issues he makes the car 2 tone. Every time I see a car (soob) that is 2 tone that shouldn't be it screams rust job to me. just my $.02 Matt
  3. Where is it? Is it the one that they have at the motel just off the TPK in Denver/ Adamstown? I think Benebob is in charge of this show right??? Are you positive on the date? Matt
  4. I will buy a Diesel someday....hopefully subaru will make it but to be honest with you I saw a TD PT cruiser in Car and Driver that really tripped my trigger....not to mention There are rumors that a TD Jeep liberty is in the works. I also saw a Jeep GC with a diesel in it (already available in europe). I hate to say this but if fuel keeps going up and Subaru's reliability keeps going down (clutches, headgaskets, binding AWD, etc) I'll be gone like the wind.....and just keep an oldie but goodie around for the snow days. These things are too darn expensive to have crap like this going at such an early age.... Matt
  5. I think my dealer is typical for new car dealers...."oh well not in the comp. screw it" Seems to be the latest trend anymore on my end. Thanks for the good info. folks. Not sure if I am going to go with the kit or still look for a 90-94 legacy in the boneyard for the one out of it (just because it is smaller). Matt
  6. will try to get to Carlisle...heck it is only 60 or so miles from me... just hope I don't have to work on the wknd. Matt
  7. called my dealer.....gave them that part# and guess what? they say it doesn't exist... You folks out there think that light fixture might fit a 95 impreza??? Seems like they forgot to put one in there too. Matt
  8. Thanks for the insight guys...all I have to say is DAMN!!! And as for the brat that is getting this all done....well that is in my opinion "larger than life" Hey Mr. Subarubrat.....when this is done I gotta see this thing some how some way.... Matt
  9. ok I'm lost here....how are you going to use a seperate t-case and still have 4WD? How are you going to get power to the front wheels? confused, Matt
  10. Disposable cars are great. Funny you say this i know where there is a Lanos for $3500 too. Must be the going rate. GM dealers are supposed to stock/offer parts for these cas because of the buyout....also you would be surprised what is here on ebay parts wise for these. As for the ones with glass issues....can't glass shops make windows for cars? I was told that they can....atleast my local ones supposidly. Matt
  11. hey good score...send me an email: subeman at aol.....com I might have what ya need.... Matt
  12. NICE! I am amaized at how nice those wheels look on an impreza. Heck they look better on an impreza than they do on a forester L. Hats off to you Kevin!!!!! Matt
  13. I was in Lancaster PA on monday around 5pm and saw a 98ish OBS with 1st gen forester L steel wheels on it. It looked damn good. Just a little food for though for any of the OBS owners who hate their hubcaps or lost their hubcaps doing doughnuts at the mall in the last snow storm or aren't lucky like me to have a nice set of WRX alloys sitting around. Anyhoo like I said it looked damn good and is a cheap alternative to some of the other options.... BTW, if you (the person in the OBS I saw) are a board member...I like your ride but you need to not follow people so closely.... Matt
  14. Moosens: got your email...I will get real specific info. the first of the week. I want you to know what you are getting and to make sure it is of use and isn't more of a pain in the arse than anything. be in touch... Matt
  15. At work we have some plows for sale. They are for a small compact tractor (front) and are roughly the width of an EA81 vehicle (I can measure next week). If I remember correctly they have a pin in them to swivel and I know for sure they have the springs on them when you hit something. They of course have the skid shoes on them too. I am not sure how much they are but I know they are in the mid $200 area. They are all steel and are of good quality. If anyone is interested let me know and I will get more specifics and measurements. Limited quanity... (4) Matt
  16. the best I could do for you is the OB label on the back of the car. My impreza isn't a true OBS like the later models. Mine is when the OB label just ment that you had tutone paint basically. Why don't you go to a dealer and snap a few pics? Matt
  17. 95 was the last year of the 2wd's. 96 was full line AWD.* * the SVX may be the only exception. Matt
  18. The A/C gets in the way if you have to charge and recharge the freon....not to mention all of the electronics that have to be unhooked from the rest of the motor. Matt
  19. If you have a working A/C Unit don't pull the engine....what a pain in the rear. I personally have seen a legacy trans ( 5 speed) on the floor in 20 min. Car was on a lift though.... I like the EJ's personally....but the EA81's are the best for being bulletproof in my book. Matt
  20. I'm ummmm speechless. are you planning on making a fill in panel so you can't see all of the ugly metal pieces that the stock (plastic) bumper hides? How about some better finished pics in better light.... Matt
  21. I don't think they are.... I would be almost willing to bet the bank on the transmissions being the same 90-94 turbo wise. I would take a crap shoot at it....If you can't find one used I can hook you up with a guy that gets Jap import ones and you can have him install it. He is local to me (Lancaster County PA). Let me know if Ican help. Matt
  22. Let me know if you have trouble for some unforseen reason with the wrx wheels on the 95 impreza.... I have mine in the garage but I am not putting them on till spring.. Matt
  23. There is a guy here in Ephrata that does it. Might be a little closer than Trexlertown but who knows... Matt
