  1. and dropped these off... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  2. when i did the coupe with the analoge tach i just hooked the tach wire from the ecu up to the tach wire going to the dash and it worked fine. on both of my wagons (one EJ20G and one EJ22) both have digital dashes. i can not get them to work. so in my EJ20G i had to buy a autometer tach and the autometer tach adapter. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  3. you rock! thanks for the videos... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  4. look up one for an XT, should be the same one... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  5. i found a dealer installed cruse control box and i think i have all the wiring i need. dose anyone have a wiring diagram for it? part # is SOA386C335 202-2125 -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  6. so i bought what i was told was the right heater core. but it looked like the wrong one so i checked 3 different parts stores and online, all had the listing for the same core. i pulled the whole dash apart to put it in and sure enough it was for an EA-81. but this is what was listed in 3 different parts catalogs, for 88 GL RX and Wagon... so i went to get a differnt one, with the one i pulled out in hand. looked up every subaru heater core by picture, and found the GL heater core is the same as the XT and XT6. (witch was a different part number than every other subaru in the book) her is a pic for refference. but after all that was worked out, the job was not as bad as i thought it would be... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  7. as long as its the same trans (3AT or 4EAT) should be the same -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  8. i beleive the only subaru that ever came with twin turbos is the legacy. $750.00 and you can get the turbos and the engine that goes with it... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBARU-EJ20-TWIN-TURBO-ENGINE-JDM-DUNE-BUGGY-EJ20TT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33615QQihZ016QQitemZ260103817874QQrdZ1 -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  9. legacy parts will work in front but will not work in the rear. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  10. if i remember correctly they are the exact same other than langth. i tryed putting a DR selector on my RX full time box and everything fit but selectors were at a wierd position. so i used the RX selector and it fit fine. -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  11. my offer still stands, ill take the RX off your hands for $500 any day of the week. and ill come pick it up... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  12. Given the gear ratio of a Turbo 5 speed, 3.700 final drive ratio and tire size of 185/70R13. here are the top speeds for each gear at 6500RPM Gear Ratio Top Speed @ 6500RPM 1st 3.545 34MPH 2nd 2.111 57MPH 3rd 1.448 81MPH 4th 1.088 111MPH 5th 0.871 139MPH N/A 5 speed final drive ratio of 3.900 tire size of 175/70R13 here are the top speeds for each gear at 6500RPM Gear Ratio Top Speed @ 6500RPM 1st 3.545 32MPH 2nd 1.947 58MPH 3rd 1.366 82MPH 4th 0.972 116MPH 5th 0.780 144MPH would never go that fast in an EA-82 but that is the limit of the engine and the gears... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  13. +1 for both of you two... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  14. im sure that was me... use the front and rear section from an XT6 and the center section from a WRX and the WRX trany bolted right into my EA wagon. no cutting or welding needed... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  15. i just put a FMIC on my car. granted it is an EJ20G but there was hardly any added lag and no boost drop. and my intercooler is almost as large as a house... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  16. the intercooler is from Godspeed. i didnt know it when i bought it but thats what it says on it... more pics in the day light. with the air dam on . not super happy how it turned out. but there is not alot to bolt it to up there. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  17. i have only driven it a few miles. i dont think it is going to make it a tone faster. hopefully a little bit. but it will keep it from heat soaking when it sits for more than 30 seconds.
  18. spent a few hours last night and most of today puting this thing in. i am very happy with the way it turned out... fit very nice means how it is for a car that was built 20 years later... runs awesome still. dose not feel like the turbo spools up any slower. and still boost right to 15PSI had to relocate the battery up into the spair tire well but fit nicely with a little triming. the bumper had to be cut almost in half then put back togther so air could get to the intercooler. and yes i know that my licecne plate is blocking air flow also... now all i have to do is get the front air dam on so the intercooler will blend in a little better... what to do next??? -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  19. yeah hood cable is disconnected. i see no since in poping the hood then unlocking it... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  20. Awesome! with a intercooler that big you may need a larger scoop... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  21. well i put some locking hood pins on the subaru today... i like the fact that i can lock my hood. but its an extra step to get it open. what do you think. Cool... or... Rice... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  22. most of the lights and such only get a ground from the 2.2l ECU. the power comes from the car. have you checked that you have power? check fusable links... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  23. the ratio is much better that the part time D/R 3.7 i had in it before the swap... my goal is to find a good 3.9 D/R and put the FTAWD RX transfer case onto the 3.9 trans... that way i have lower final drive and lower low gear... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  24. its all done. i drove it to work today for the first time... stats / new stuff: Legacy EJ22 (compleatly resealed with new headgaskets and T-belt) RX 3.7:1 FTAWD D/R Diff lock 3.7:1 LSD rear diff everything works. even the power steering... i used a Turbo Legacy exhaust manifold and uppipe mated to the exhaust housing from the GL turbo so i could mate it to my custom Turbo exhaust. and without the Y-pipe i have a little more ground clearance (one less thing to rip off) the gearing is so much better with a little more power and the abillity to put it into low gear with out locking the center diff... and i have to show off my new push bumper... just need to attach the skid plate to the bottom of the push bar... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
