  1. i had a blast, my wife even had a good time, this was her first time offroad in a subaru. i am uploading my pics as i type. should be able to view them in a bit at http://www.suberdave.com/treerun2005/treerun2005.htm hope you like them.
  2. let me know when you get the video, i think you got some of me. and i would like to see whatever you have.
  3. GL-10 is just more loaded than most GL's. i have a GL that is turbo'd and 2 GL-10's both turbo's. but the 10's have cruse and sun roof, more plush interior adjustable drivers seat, some came with LSD with the 5spd, some came with rear sway bar, digi dash. thats about all i can think of right now.
  4. i bought a set from that guy also, look good, but have not put it on the car yet. so i have no idea if they are any good...
  5. very nice. dose not get any better than that...
  6. to my knowlage they were only put out in japan, due to a left hand drive brake booster being in the way for the left turbo. you can pick up twin turbo engines and trans on Ebay all day long for around a grand. but wont fit in a us car.
  7. is your rad. cap holding pressure? just a bad pressure cap was to blame for my last leak. but yours sounds much worse than that, if you use the word spewed...
  8. i just bought wheel barrings for the front of my 88 wagon, for all four barrings and seals, inner and outer and a tub of barring greese. total bill was $102.00. thats everything i need for both front barrings.
  9. that sucks man, looks like time to find a new engine...
  10. my wagon had the controler on the strut tower. (87 T-wagon). when i got the JDM engine for it the hose was looped. so i put that turbo on it ,looped. and i have been running it for about 20K now with no problem. boost is right at 6.5 - 7 psi.
  11. all i have to say is thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. i have an extra or two. could send one out tomorrow. say $10 shipped. send me a PM i can take a pic tonight.
  13. im up for some fun in the snow, i dont need a tree but could help others get theirs.
  14. real easy to do, just make sure your switches are properly rated, the acc and run wires carrie quite a bit of current, and can (known from experance) melt switches. remember if you use a push button start, you will have to cut a key and keep it in your ign. so your steering wheel wont lock, not a good secuirty option.
  15. or this, i have 3 turbo wagons, 2 with egr and one without, all nonspider
  16. not trying to be smart... but why dose it matter? arnt they the same engine?
  17. i dont think that had anything to do with your noise. the wire is the right part, its not any more sturdy than that. i dont think i have a car with both of them on it, the last time i pulled my engine i only had one, i know when i put the clutch in i put both on it. so it must have fallen off. i think once it is in the car, even if they both fell out it would still work.
  18. i say even if its 2wd, if you can get a good deal on it, buy it. i dont think $800 is to much, i have payed $500 for cars that didnt run and needed towed home. then just convert it to AWD, parts can be found easy enough. but i would "NEVER" lift an RX. if you want a lifted rig. buy a wagon or sadan. RX's are hard to find and awesome.
  19. car looks awesome. but something has to be done with that front bumper. how dose the megasquit run? what ver. is it? MS-I or MS-II?
  20. i have used DURABAK, awesome product. you can roll it on or use an undercoating gun and spray it on. next summer i will be doing the whole outside of my lifted wagon. and if you have holes, dont worrie about them. just put some tape or something on the back side and spray over it. as long as they are not to large.
  21. good luck on #25 and #26. i had to install new ones on my lifted wagon. no way to get them out with out pulling the trans apart, (that i could tell). ended up using the trusty ol' hack saw on an old trans that was no good. got the bushings out that way
  22. if this is something you are interesed in doing i have a pile of parts you may be interested in, Pedel box center consol (with diff lock switch) parking brake handle clutch cable shift lever and some related hardware say $50.00 + shipping takes it all youll need a trans but this will get you on your way.
  23. couldnt you just send the ea-82 flywheel to the shop and tell them to mechine it to XT-6 step spec. whoud this not work?
  24. its not the TPS, its the idle stop switch, yeah its part of the TPS but if you unplug it it will work just find. had that problem on one of my turbo wagons. it has been unpluged for about 4 years now with no problem. the ilde stop switch dropes the idle down when it is less than 15%. the ecu is thinking that the throtle is closed. because the stop switch is shorted. but the rpms are running up. so it cuts fuel at 2500rpm. it is the connector that comes off of the TPS. three wires. black white and red. if it is the same thing i had, this will fix it.
  25. as far as i know the 4eat only came in turbo wagons and XT's, it is an electronic shifting trans, so to transplant one in to a car with a 3at you would also need the Trans computer and wireing. dont think it would be an easy job.
