  1. I picked up a flywheel today. I need it to be turned to xt6 specs right? Anyone have a link to the xt6 specs? Thanks.
  2. Ok since Mudrat won't come through with my parts I'm gonna go ahead and install a regular 5 speed into the brat. I've got the parts I need except for the flywheel but I have a question or 2. Can someone post a pic of where I need to grind the bellhousing to make the ea82 flywheel fit? I'm sure I can figure it out, but a pic would speak a thousand words. Also, since the Brat is lifted 4/3" am I gonna need to do anything else with the tranny to get it to shift better/easier? When I talked to Mudrat, he said something about welding a triangle piece of metal into the shifter to raise it up or something??? Any info or tips would be appreciated.

  4. Nice, I think we'll have to check those roads out at wcss8!! I wanna do a trailrun.
  5. I've got a superwinch S3500 for the brat. Doesn't do any good without the bumpers though.

    Doorless?

It depends on where you live. In Nevada I CAN drive without doors, in Washington I CANNOT. So it varies from state to state. I have no idea about how Alabama is regarding driving without doors. If you have seen people around running without them I assume it is legal. But ya never know. You may wanna call your local DMV and see.
  7. Well darn. WCSS is being held the same weekend as a W.E.Rock event here at the moonrocks. Now I'm torn on which one I want to go to.
  8. I had a buddy one time lose his wheel ring, and a hubcap on the trail one time. We went back and found it later though.

    Doorless?

Yeah I actually ran without doors for a while, it was fun. Kinda scary though. Laws vary from state to state though, in Nevada, it is legal to not have doors on your car, but in Washington it is not. That was part of the reason why I had the tube doors made. I didn't want to be pulled over in Washington for not having doors. (I was heading to wcss7) I like the tube doors, I may have a plate welded in there to keep stuff in as well as mirrors (been lazy) and maybe a cup holder as well. In all, I say go for it!
  10. Living so close to spots like the moonrocks, where they have national competitions and stuff, I can appreciate both sides. Those guys and their buggy's go NUTS on stuff, they do stuff that I wouldn't even think about doing in a soob. So I can appreciate it when they make certain obstacles. But I also appreciate what we can do in our rigs, I have made some obstacles that made those guys appreciate my rig, so it works out.
  11. HAHA Does EVERYONE have a list of $$ spent on their soobs? So far I've spent about 4600$ on my Brat like this:
  12. Have fun wish I was closer.
  13. I've used PB Blaster with pretty good results, on little stuff for the most part though.
  14. I'll come if I can go look at all the impreza's!! That'd be a fun meet.

    My Brat

Cool pics, but you need more!!
  16. I think I bought mine from Napa, it's seemed to be going right. It didn't help that I broke the radiator in the moonrock parkinglot, but yeah it's holding up real well.
  17. Thanks guys. I bought 2 fuel filters last night, replaced the one under the hood and will change the one near the fuel pump today. I also changed the air filter as well. I also noticed last night after the car started making a horrible clicking noise that I have to replace the driver's side axle too. Guess water didn't help that any. Thanks again, I'll keep ya informed.
  18. So the Brat has been acting funny lately, I think due to driving through some water on the last run we did. When driving in 1st through 3rd gears, if I more than feather the gas, the car acts like it's out of fuel or has water in the exhaust, and goes whooooop whooooop, and so on and so forth. It stumbles real bad. It also doesn't seem to rev any. It takes me forever to get going more than 15 mph in 1st and 25-30 in second. It idles fine (very high, but fine) but as soon as I start driving the problem starts. Any ideas on what's wrong?
  19. Yeah everyone, where are pics at? I'll get the few I have up soon. I also wasn't done wheelin either after we split. I took Dalton home and hit up the moonrocks on the way out too, hit up the V-Crack.
  20. just got off the phone with Brian, he's on his way, be a couple of hours. It should be fun. HEY YOU's comin too.
