Northern Nevada Meet - Moonrocks
The Moon rocks are out in the backside of Red Rock towards pyramid Lake. If you wanna make it, you could meet TheSubaruJunkie In town as he's comin through and hook up with the rest of us. NV Zeno is also comin from Carson, maybe you could meet as well. Otherwise let me know, I can give you directions to my place. (Its easy to get to) If Brian is gonna be at the wagon at 10, maybe we should all be at my place by then eh? It sounds like a plan.

Thats Crazy! Its a good thing I just started the replacement of my rear bearings in the Brat! I'd hate for it to go out like yours did!

New grill....whatch ya think....LAST PICS
lookin good. I like the idea of a mesh grille. BTW - when trying to post a pic in a thread there is a "picture" button when you're typing the message. It looks like a postcard icon, just copy the address of where the pic is stored on the internet and post it in there.

Went Rockcrawlin Today
It's like about 20 minutes all dirt roads. Its down on Red Rock Road past the shell station where you aired up and just out farther. We'll definitely get out there.

Went Rockcrawlin Today
Did a little wheelin today at a local place called the Moonrocks. Its a big Granite outburst of rock out in the middle of the desert. They have all sorts of competitions there during the year. I took it pretty easy what with no reverse and single range with 28's, but we hit some fun stuff. This was the last thing we did before we left and the pics don't do it justice. Its an off camber spot up against a granite wall. I kept up with a Stock Jeep Rubicon though, so that was cool. Here's the only pic we got of the Brat:

rear diff mount
Check out Subarubrat.com, he made a custom rear diff mount that's way stronger than the original. I don't know if it'd work in a non lifted soob, but it's worth a try I'm sure. EDIT: Here is the link to the page. http://www.subarubrat.com/diffmount.htm

Air Breathers?
Yeah all right thatnks for the quick response.

Air Breathers?
I don't know if anything what I am looking for exists, but here goes. I'm gonna install my weber soon and the 2 hoses that come out of the valve covers on either side of the engine concern me a little. They don't get covered with anything so I was wondering if there was a breather or filter that would fit these hoses? I talked to a buddy of mine who covered them and he had a little bit of an oil leak and pressure build up. I don't like that. I know that anbother friend of mine has a modified fuel filter hooked up to his. I could do that I guess, if nothing else comes about. What do you suggest?

Fuel Filter Q
Ok Thanks for the help. I'll see what I can get.

Fuel Filter Q
So I am gonna replace the fuel filters on the Brat tomorow and was wondering if I should get a stock fuel filter from the dealership or if I should get an aftermarket one. I got one from summitracing and put it right at the tank, and was wondering if another would work in place of the stock one before the fuel pump. It's a 40 micron filter that flows 5gpm. I also want to replace the vapor seperator so is there a good one for that as well? Thanks.

Are there 2wd subarus?
You can tell older soobs easy if its 2wd or 4wd, just look under the rear, if it has a rear diff its 4wd, if not then 2wd. I'm also not sure about the newer cars.

The Skidplate Cometh
looks good, might have to take ya up on that.
-
The saga continues... wanna hear?
yeah thats kinda how the dealership is here in Reno. There IS one cool guy though that knows his older soobs and is GREAT about helping me get the right parts. I needed a radiator drain plug a while ago and everyone there couldn't get me the right one and finally the third time I went in there I got the good guy and he took 10 minutes and went into the back and found the right one.

Tips on Gas Tank Drainage?
Thanks guys. I'll try these ideas. I don't know If I'm gonna drop the whole tank, I might as well I guess. I may try to replace the filters and lines first, then drain the tank and see if it IS all nasty inside.
