Has anyone ever put a EA motor on a Motorcycle?
Ya, thats the ticket. I dont think I was thinking that style of bike, but it works. Thats also not the same engine im thinking of... Looks tiny! Maybe an EA81 would be better

Are there any performance upgrades available for a 93 Impreza?
Kostamojen replied to DGmachinist's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYou would be surprized how many items work for any model impreza between 93 and 2001. Alot of power mods still work even for the new model Imprezas. I know this link isnt to a thread on this board, but it is where almost everyone I know who knows anything about the older L models is. Its a great thread to read, you will see alot of stuff that will apply to your car: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=153798

I need to fix up the rust spots here soon on the 78 wagon im getting, any tips on where to find/get touch up paint? I presume it will have to be custom mixed, and isnt sold in bottles anymore, and I probably need ALOT more than just the little touch up sticks have... LOL! The paint on the car otherwise is fine, just a few spots that stick out.

A turbo motor would be freakin huge on a bike I think one of those small dual port head EA's would be neat on a bike, especially with dual carbs, lol! That would be even more neat

Has anyone ever put a EA motor on a Motorcycle?
That is not true. They still have the horizontal 2 cyl engine on a couple of the current models. The ones that are sold to police departments have a this engine. Go look at http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com

No luck, what search criteria would help? I was mostly thinking of this cause I watch too many of the discovery channel /TLC shows I remembered that one bike on American Chopper with the mower engine, and was like hmm... Then searched and discovered there were even Rotary engines in some bikes, and was like why not an EA? As for the horizontally opposed beemers, I see those all over here. I live like by the best, largest BMW motorcycle dealership in the country so ya, I knew about those

I dont know, I was just curious... Kinda stupid, but I thought about it ever since I saw one of those older carborated, dual exhaust port head, 1.4l EA's from a mid 70's coupe at a junkyard. I thought, "that would be awesome on a motorcyle" LOL!!! Then again, I might be crazy... Thoughts?

Outback 2.5 Flywheel Weight Limits?
Kostamojen replied to cajun100's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe Exedy is probably the most popular LW flywheel for EJ's. I'd say go with that if you want to be certain, but if price is more of an issue go with the lesse expensive but lighter other model.

05 Legacy or Outback
Kostamojen replied to 2Outbacks's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe good news about the 05 outback is that even with that added ground clearance, it still handles VERY well, far better than previous models. But, considering the price of the 05's, i'd go with a Legacy. Definatly get the turbo in either model.

2005 Outback Specs
Kostamojen replied to PAezb's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNo, dont run anything less than 91. You can, but it will probably cause engine knock which will ultimatly lead to piston damage and probably engine failure. And with the extra $.20 a gallon, it isnt that much more per year if you do the math, it is only about $125 more every 15,000 miles to run 91 instead of 87.

why is my impreza so slow?
Kostamojen replied to rugbyben's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI think he meant it keeps up until the turbo spools:-p

Wow, buy it now for $13,000. That sounds expensive, but it isnt!! Thats a steal. Get that, and a $2000 early 90's Impreza, and you have a 12 second sleeper for $15,000

how much does it cost to insure your 80s soobs?
Cool, I was worried how much it was going to cost to insure the 78 when I get it. Looks like when I throw it on with multi car discount with the 95 it shouldnt be much more

Why bother with 14" pugs?
