  1. autocross and track. I am looking to get it back to ZERO and go about...possibly 2 deg...
  2. So....has anyone has experiences with rear TOE settings on an EA82 4WD? I need to toe mine out...so before I go fabbing/grinding/drilling....i figured i would inquire once more.
  3. Yeah...i thought that the only thing you had to match up properly was the headgasket to the proper HEAD and BORE of the block.
  4. the only reason mine vibrates at all is the tires are slightly out of balance....but its really stable and smooth at 120MPH....
  5. if the new master cylider was isntalled by a shop, or the mast. cyl came with the reserv. attatched...i know for a fact it shoudl not leak when you get it back from 'x'...so I would take it back for warrenty...
  6. The XT6 has different suspension geomety vs EA81 car...but its not much different at all compared to an EA82 car...so a 5 lug would help the car some...but I dont think it would be an EA81+XT6 handling car... I know my GL-10 is t3h handling machine...but then again, its got all kinds of things done to it...it is toed OUT in the front..and IN on the rear...so the car is TOO stable... :-\ Really, the things that will help a car the MOST is a good set of tires, brakes all being equal, alignment set good, wheels in balance, and making sure that you've not got anything bent involving suspension parts...another thing is WORN out parts...like bushings, rod ends, ball joint and stuff...there really makes a car REALLY jittery......I know those things cost $ to get done, but when you are done, you will be very pleased. Sometime before the suby challenge I am going to toe the rear WAY out and set the front back to zero...should be rather tail happy then!
  7. Ive done this twice w/out ever messing with the engine...just jacked the car up...usually about 2 mins worth of twisting the pipe around and having the RF tire off the car and its in in less than 5 and you are bolting things up.
  8. Sounds good to me, I will try that next time I have an engine apart.
  9. not nessisarily....you can just take the bolts you have, match up the metric threads and lenghts EXACTLY...and away you go! Otherwise...call 1-704-536-9635, Folger SUBARU, ask for Mike or Neil in the parts Dept., and they will hook you up. Just tell them you are from the USMB...and what you need.
  10. 36 MM and no more...no less. I would personally take the time and $ to invest in a proper 36MM socket...either 1/2 or 3/4 IMPACT socked. I got mine from NAPA, 1/2 drive...lasted thru the worst of abuse...lifetime warrenty too.
  11. Take the pump back off...dont use RTV on that thing...it needs to be CLEAN ROOM CLEAN to seal correctly....thats the best method I know if. Hopefully there is enough bolt sticking out of the block to grab with come good vise/vice grips....you really need all those bolts for the pump. Good luck!
  12. what came with 15 inch spare rims? Ive only seen 14....
  13. you can hybrid an EJ22x into DOHC...search NASIOC for it...and there were only 424 Impreza 22B STi's with the EJ22G DOHC engine in it.... Easy to do...mix and match heads and head gaskets...and voila! 2.2 DOHC...either turbo or NA...most do the EJ22G USDM legacy block and WRX/RS DOHC/STi AVCS heads for big time turbo HP.
  14. Ok, i was off... Still...D/R in a GL-10...not stock Id say...oh well, good find tho.
  15. that GL-10 has D/R??? That GL-10 should be close to 2800 lbs then. The 84 GL...i would GUESS..based on 85 4wd...that its around 2600-2700...
  16. Those blokes in OZ land do it left and right........the EJ swap that is...
  17. I believe you might, *might*, have to swap the wiring harness over as well.... but if you take the long block of the WRX engine...and put all the Legacy stuff on it...it should work fine...
  18. OH! 22B REPLICA!!!!!!!!!
  19. Yes. BRATs and all kinds of things have EJ20s in them in the land of OZ and NZ...
  20. Nah, i think more ppl frequent this...dont need any more EJ stuff there...need more old skoo... Yep. I bet we will be the only old skoolers there.
