  1. I looked over it....and I still cannot say for sure that the FT4WD D/R was offered as 3.90....I know the S/R was for XT6.
  2. Just get some 90 deg fittings...thats what I did. my current setup is way radical tho...and i odnt even use that adapter.
  3. its a PITA under the dash and pedal stuff....
  4. make sure the disty bolts are not loose and alowing the disty to slip back...
  5. Same for the WRX TMIC. Just matters what you can find for cheap on ebay I guess.
  6. Ha hahahhaahah....way ahead of all of you guys....
  7. that must be fore EA82 stuff only. As EA82 Turbo stuff has 25 spline axles.
  8. I know there are others in the SE.....come on guys! And gals too!
  9. the knock sensor is supposed to do something with the timing....it feeds detonation info to the computer...and when there is PRE-detonation...the ECU retards the timing...as PRE-detonation (referred to a KNOCK, PING, PINGING, DETONATION...etc....) is VERY harmfull to an engine.
  10. hehehehehe.....which is why I love it so much....
  11. try running a higher octane fuel in it, and see how it performs then..
  12. 1.196 to be exact. XT6 FT4WD trans are 3.90. I know, I had one and the diff. It could be possible that there is a trans from it in that RX....there is mention of many parts from other subies going into this single RX....could have happend that its got a 3.90 XT6...but then again, how could it be D/R???? Could be possible that the gearing guiness pulled the trans apart to install the 3.90 ring/pinion from something else and also match that with the rear diff's 3.90. If not...its simply got a 3.90 in the rear. No harm in doing this with a 3.70 FT4WD trans or PT4WD trans...the only problem is when the 4WD is engaged or when the diff is locked...on a hard surface. Otherwise...on something loose...not that much noticable...but the rear end WILL drag...I know...ive done it. I also drove for about 12k miles with a 3.90 in place of where a 3.70 should have been...never locked the diff tho...and everything was peachy. Trans workes great...only reason I swapped was beacuse I wanted the DUAL RANGE and the clutch was toast from too much HP and autocross launches being dealt to it. Why is there no harm to the EA82/ER27 FT4WD trans? The center diff is open until closed. Its NOT an EJxx/EGxx/EZxx trans with a viscous center or clutch pack. If it WAS an auto FT4WD...then there would be a problem...but its not. Ok, back to surfing...
  13. Oct 30th, in Atlanta. http://www.subaruchallenge.com/SE3/Home.htm Whos all going? I am seriously planning on it....
  14. if I could dig my spyder out before it got dark this would be all over...
  15. depends...could try that too... 2 things to get the DOJ off...a big circlip deal in a gap on hte DOJ cup...and then an internal snap ring on the end of the shaft holding the DOJ balls and cages on. The CV...secure the sahft...and gently beat the CV assy off the shaft...pops out.
  16. well i guess the onyl thing to do is repplace tthe horn and figure out what hose is leaky.... :-\
  17. oh... well...see if the outer CVs from the turbo ones will fit the shafts on the NA ones...ive never tried that....but it might work....
  18. Hubs are the same...85-94...DL, GL, GL-10, RX, XT, Leone, Loyale...NOT XT6 tho. so are the CVs completely destroyed? I wouldnt think so...take them apart...clean them...repacc with subie grease....put subie CV boots on them, and clamps...and install away!
  19. Fix the sidemarker...check the conections and stuff on the horn and if that doesnt fix it, get louder horn...lol as for the fuel tank hose...soemthing sounds fishy there. Since when did they start checking for fuel tank presures? Im in trouble then....
