  1. xforxlifex Snowman scrapdaddytatum nutt7 Ok, 4. I'll wait for some more people....IF there are those who want one....otherwise, ive got enough to have an order.
  2. Ya know, that is not a bad idea. But Pleiades and I have come up with a solution to the sever underdampenness....more to come as we play with that option. FIRST i have to get the wagon sitting like I want it...15MM of space between the tire and fenderwell.
  3. Well....check for vac leaks. That would be the most likely suspect...as a simple thing to start with.......
  4. If I can get at least 2 more interested, I'll place another order. Lets go!
  5. DONT use standard heater hose...it will fail. The ultra high heat of the coolant comming out of the turbo will cook that hose...and the lower hose will be cooked by the exhaust peieces surrounding it. Go with the OEM hoses. They have heat shields, and are made of a special silicone/rubber substance that puts up to the heat. OR....ask Steven what we did with the RX.....braided steel lines! And some speical heat shielding... I am betting the IAC is the stumble issue.
  6. ONLY the wagons have those style bump stops. I know i have to go shorter with stiffer springs to maintain height....the original fronts were 10 or...the yellows were 9, or 8.5....and the golds are 8. The rears were 11, and the yellow was 10. I knew the 10 silver was gonna be too tall, but i wanted to see how it handles....
  7. AWD dyno. Take your time, and the $ will be worth it.
  8. The springs are too tall. Sits the car up about 1.5 inches too far front, and 2.5 inches rear. And the rear springs dont want to sit to well in the perches...so, gotta cut and mod. The rates...be ready....1200 front, and 1200 rear. Yes, 1,200 POUNDS. Its really quite harsh of a ride....the struts had enogh to dampen the yellow springs...250 front and 330 rear....but these....bounce. Its fine in turns and over bumps....its the DIPS that are so bad. And my Camber is gone!!! its about 1 negative degree now...i had about 2.5 or more....so, need to go lower.
  9. more pics and info tonight. Race car spings....and for the GL-10.
  10. Well.....looks like the project is underway....first step: Springs. Here, look! *evil laugh*
  11. It did just fine on pump 93......wil do even better with cams, and WRX intercooler. Then again, I am re doing the engine, and I might or might not be doing the 9.5:1 again...... I could put a turbo block in, and change the pistons...hmmmm...so many options.
  12. I am surely obsessed.......im even worse.
  13. well, i got outbid on some aluminum 6 lug wheels on ebay...so no 15 inch wheels it lookes like. Looks like the victoracers on 13 inch rims is what im going with....looked at the specs and they will fit these rims. I wonder how well those hook up compared to what I was going to get.... EDIT: I guess my wagon would weigh in at 2800....possibly less, and i belive the 1985/6 series were a tad lighter. I remember seeing a GL 4wd wagon with some options weighed in at something like 25xx or something around that.... I WILL have power, there is no doubt there. AND there will be power to be had at 2500....and im to have some extra gearing...say 4.4252 final....*another evil laugh*...so i dont think i'll ever be below 3k....i hope.
  14. Hey Crazyhorse, Im headed your way to help you. Give me shout on the cell, 704-305-4179. Im leaving now.
  15. Mitsubishi Lancer Evoution.....its version 8 here in the states and everywhere else.
  16. Yeah, i guess in person its different.
  17. I dont think I'm gonna visit NASIOC anytime soon anymore. Not a nice place. Only a few ppl, the few I know personally, that are A OK in my book. Lots of unfriendly-ness, large egos, and know it alls. Sorry, just venting. I'm not too happy with them.
  18. I am. If its not a SUBARU, its inferior. You have the oppertunity to drive an EVO, but would rather ride in an STi. You would never own anything other than a SUBARU, and would never drive anything other than a SUBARU (exception: if your job calls for you to drive a non-subaru, which is my case....oh well). If an event involves a SUBARU, you are there. You watch SPEED just to see the SUBARU commercials. If a race doesnt have a SUBARU in it, you dont watch it. You want to be Petter Solberg....EVERY corner. And Tommi Makenin, Colin McRae, Toshi, Carlos, Mikko, Markko, Richard, Juha....ofcourse, when they were/are driving for SUBARU. Espcially Possum Bourne...RIP 'o' Great Rally Driver.... You have dreams of Driving/Owning Possum's Leone RX/II....
