  1. Im gonna do some measure'in sometime soon.
  2. Hey, look at this new look for the board....hmmm... Hey svxpert, did you get the RX stuff yet? Its a 22B and I want it!! Too bad me no have $.
  3. Matt Matt Matt....you got the foxster into it now! Fox, i think you need to move to a different part of the country! Come down here to SUBARU Central! LOL
  4. The RX, back in the days with the delta cams, stripped interior, very high flow intake and exhuast....it burried the speedo way past 125....RPMs past 7000.... Ye ole GL-10 went 116 one time, back when it was 2wd with the 3AT. lol Never had tried a top speed since. Even on 3.1 cyliders, i have a good bit of pedal left 95.
  5. They would deliver that fine peice of art to the USA....i asked. Me want. Me want so bad.
  6. i got your email, thanks for the quick reply....ive got plenty of extras and spares around, I will measure for sure. I guess the question is....$?
  7. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I buy.
  8. I wonder if those control arm bushings will work on all my toys....since I am going to try to win SM in th 24hrs autocross in sept...
  9. Great stuff russ! I wish my hose ends were curved like that...ive ust got 90s and then rubber lines on the nipples...arg. need AN fittings for something. nutt7: lets wait until I get a few more.
  10. I also notices not much increase at all, maybe 2~5 hp over stock with the Delta cams, the 677-260 grind, in the DL....which is non turbo. On the otherhand, the RX screamed to no end with those cams. One word: TURBO.
  11. 96 MPH is the absolute top speed of the DL. Oh, and its all stock now. Stock stock stock! Not a single mod! It got there....to 80.....81......82......83....well, you get the picture. Finally, 2 miles later, 95......96...and no more....and over the the next 2 miles, no faster, no slower....level ground. *sigh* Slowness. Oh well, 2k miles so far on the $100 SUBARU, and no real issues. Im glad it put up with that sustained 5000+ RPM run.
  12. ive got the Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams. A very good book. Ive read thru it several times. Dennis ex24: I do not know who makes these springs. Since they are such high rates, i got a deal on them....$14.95 for the set of four. There deal was "Race Springs, $14.95 for a set, rates must be 1000#+, and 600#+ for coil over sizes." They do have hypercoil, AFcoil, and the other popular brands, thse look like they have been painted, but the rears are chrome plates....maybe those are hypers, I dont know. They were used springs. Pretty darned good condition too. Those yellow springs were excellent, dont know the brand, but they were used as well.
  13. why are the accells die'in like so lately?
  14. YEah its stiff. Muscle Motorsports. im not going to search other makes ansuch for springs....I'll just go there and get whatever spring i need.
  15. They fit ALL EA engines, and the ER27. $35 shipped. I will wiat a few days before ordering, from that point, about 5 days to get to me...from there, once I am recieve payment from the people who want them....2~3 days from me to you.
  16. Thats with the yellow springs....on the stock ones, it sat about 1 inch higher front, and 1/2 higher rear. Ofcourse, positive camber front. LOL It had about 2~3 (somewhere in there) degs of NEGATIVE camber on the front....helps to have camber plates too.
  17. HIGH. Looks like a 4wd wagon with the struts preloaded all the way up. The springs dont compress at all when the car sits on them. LOL The other ones were soft enough to compress, and the...eh, ive got pics with the other springs.....time to search the D: drive.
  18. I think the hill holder operates the rear brakes only...but its still something to check. Id also unplug the vac brake booster and block off the intake port (big vac leak if not!) and see if the car moves then. Sounds like something like what Earl has experienced.
  19. Hm. Well, id scrape the rust off, hose it down with some brake cleen, and some WD40....put the cover on and fire it up. If the one broke bolt is near/next to the oil gally for the cam box...i'd invest some time to take the box off and replace the bolt and clean everything up....
  20. Check the air flow sensor connector, and check for anything that might cause a vac leak....and....you might try running some really strong fuel injection cleaner thru it.
  21. If it was me...if there was no rust, or any kind of really odd buildup, id put the cover back on with a fresh seal, and fire it up. There is no known problems with this engine, is there?
  22. he wants a wagon....although a brat would be ideal for logging roads... I am thinking, for more luxuary, a 1989 GL-10 turbo wagon, with FT4WD. Its got a LSD, Full Time 4WD, and a locking center diff for the 5spd versions. The autos are pretty good as well. Otherwise, id go with a GL, or GL-10 5spd 4wd model. Definatly between the years of 1985 and 1989. You just cant beat the SPFI Dual range 5spd GL's tho....unless you've got an RX
