I think i know the site for the camber...but i belive it was bogous for our EA82 subes. Camber plates and lowering springs effectively give us the camber we need for our performance requirements...well, for me at least. lol I belive those addco bars are pretty expensive...i priced them once. I didnt get them....so it must have been more than $150.

All I know is that I will NEVER NEVER run anything but mobil 1 synth in my subes. I also run at 4k miles intervals, with a NAPA (its a WIX) Gold oil filter. I ran 20w-50, and I lost an engine. I dont know how everyone else runs it all the time and doesnt have something go wrong. Synthetic will not make leaks worse. Bad seals that you dont change, will, in time, get worse. I know this from the GL-10. The cam covers were original, and when i slapped the 9.5:1 engine in it, I didnt both with changing them. They leaked. Got worse too. The RX's i have, switched them over to Mobil as soon as I got them. Leaks? Sure they had a small little drip after hours of sitting...and some sweating...but no more with synth than with non-synth. After switching the leaks seemed to not be as much as they were. I know that from after tearing into the 9.5:1 engine, it was sparkling clean. The block it self was cleaner after 24000 miles of mobil 1 than when i installed it. It ran smoother than anything else too. I would never use castrol syntech, as Ive read that the syntec is almost the same as most dino oils. Mobil and AMSOIL are the top of the line. There are racing oils...MOTUL and valvoline....ive use the valvoline racing, and i belive the Mobil 1 street stuff is better. If i were to ever be forced to run a Dino oil...id use castrol GTX 10w-30. Ive heard notihng but good news about the GTX, and in Legends car racing, we always ran the 20w-50 GTX, or mobil one, and we only lost engines because they were time to be lost...not because of the oil. Mobil 1 all the way!

XT front struts/springs will bring it down aeounds 2 inches...the rear springs is what you want, as the XT struts for the rear will actually raise you up. The springs will bring it down 1/2 to 1 inch. -

I know that the pump's t belt pully is wider. The micky mouse gasket for it is a different shape as well. The waterpump is different in design...the pully and the housing is...ive got some pics of an ER27 somehwere...
-
or is the pump suckin oil thru the filter? PS: just talked to my dad about this, and he said something about the by pass is for when the filter gets dirty...????
-
I know that when i went to 20w-50...i lost a rod bearing...and the rest of the engine as well.....but thats just me. seems like everyone else is running it and is never having a problem. Presure at the filter....the pump pulls oil from the pan, and once its pulled, it goes thru the pump, and from the pump, its filtered and sent into the engine...the gauge reads over 45 psi at all times...unless its below 2000 RPM and its at op. temp. So....there must be that much presure at the filter, right? Or does the oil get another trip thu the pump....?

The Order, TWE parts. *see 1st and LAST post*

Of all things, the DL is the thing that got me into trouble. 86 in a 65 zone...the day after my license expires, ticket for that too...AND, to top it all off, no inspection sticker. -
I looked at them today. I think...that I dont know about that pres. valve for sure....???? So when pressure in the filter reaches 8 psi, it just by passes, and doesn filter oil, or what?

Im not entirely giving up on TWE. But, YES, I will be making a header...whenever my welder gets here. I want to get two TWEs, but i dont have the $, I dont even have the $ for one right now...damned speeding tickets. -
ordered today. Should get to me in 2-3 days.

Are you sure those filters have the same threads? My 2004 filter book didnt list those...I'll have to look again...maybe you have an older book...?

Ive got two cars that are a bit of a nuissance...

The RX's coil springs are nowhere to be found. I cant find them. Whats on it is 2wd XT turbo on the front, and GL-10 turbo wagon on the rear. The front is low, and the back is way up. The stock RX struts are gone as well...even those were not original RX, they were aftermarket crap, one side was taller than the other. The stock RX trans and LSD is going into my GL-10 wagon....so Im thinking a regular 5spd D/R and a welded diff might be going in the RX. Ive still no decided what to do yet....so I dont know about parts. I know poormansimpreza really wants the RX's instrument cluster. -

I for one would rather wait as of now, in a months time I will have the $...we shouldnt pressure TWE to do this anyhow, it might leave a bad impression for the next time we would want custom parts... -
Everyone out west has the cool home depots. Here, I cant get squat for that. Ive looked and looked.

That leaves a forrester...a gen 1 forrester. Say...1998 or so. -
Ok, the 89 RX coupe, and the 89 DL...the DL is...well, less than desireable for me. Auto, slow, 2wd on top of that. The RX...engine no run, blown head gaskets. No turbo, no intake stuffs, no exhaust at all, no cams/cam cases, and its got a temporary suspension on it, just so I can move it around. No front seats either. Im wondering what to do....take RX parts and convert the wagon over for an off road rig? Or take some of the wagons stuff and do an off road rig with the RX? My autocross/future track car is the GL-10...Luxobarge #2...it WILL retain its full interior, and everytihng will be creature friendly...A/C, radio/CD player and all. My 88 RX will remail mostly stock and be used as the dailyer driver to and from work...100 miles a day. In the mean time, the 89 RX and DL are rotting in two separate places. The DL runs and drives perfectly except for needing some front axles soon, and the Left rear shock is blown out...so its a little bouncy. Personally, I dont want to get rid of the RX, and id rather see the DL go...but some of the parts on it are valueble to me....for instance, all the ventalation stuff works perfect on it, i could use those parts to fis the 88 RX's problems. Lets let the opinions fly... RX parts to DL, DL parts to RX's....DL parted and gone, or RX parted and gone? Others? Lets hear it! I cant make up my mind!!

Does anyone know what "Can of NO PASS NO PAY"?
WJM replied to lepetitprince's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Read the lable on that gar. to pass CRC stuff....its says double the money back....LOL what a joke. It says on the back that in order for you to get the $, everything on the car has to be like it was, UN ALTERED from the factory...and if the cats are faulty, then you still dont get an $. Its crap. Period. -
Alrighty, i'll try to find one ASAP, and I'll let ya know.
-
Cheapest ive found was $19.50 for that reducer.
-
The MAF outlet and turbo inlet are OD measurements.
-
my GL-10 will have WRX intake and spyder as well...i do wonder about the pipe hitting the back side of the spyder...and I would like to make this intake compatible with mostly stock EA82T's...meaning for those with the regualr intake and no IC yet....im working on it tho.... No one is really going to get first dibs, When I make a successful one that fits all, I'll post them for sale. However many people want, I will make. IF there is a demand for 2, i'll make 2. If there is a demand for 25, I'll make 25.
